June sleevers, what are you eating?

I was also sleeved on June 25th. I do two clear liquid shakes a day plus about 1/4 cup of soft food. So far I have had yogurt, part of a scrambled egg, refried beans twice, egg flower Soup. Tonight I went crazy and paid for it. I made an oopsie roll and put 1/2 a small meatless meatball with about a table spoon of spaghetti sauce and mozzarella. I could only eat half of that and was in terrible pain. I should have stopped at a quarter of it.

  5. Privacy settings!

  6. Well here is where I am. Over the last week or so I had been getting progressively weaker. As long as I was sitting or laying down I felt 100% fine. But if I stood up or tried to walk, I only had about 5 mins worth of effort in me. Annoying. After multiple doctor visits and lab draws, he put me in the ER yesterday and ran a bunch of tests. The culprit was that my potassium was low. They gave me some potassium and I feel decidedly better today, the weakness is still there but better. So I guess I need to go get some powerade or something with electrolytes in it. On the plus side, I got to start my soft foods this week! Started with some Greek yogurt to help with the diarrhea. Then I had some refried beans and cheese, supplemented with some unflavored protein powder. Delicious! Tonight I think it will be an egg and some cheese Down about 14 pounds since surgery.
  7. I take a Prilosec in the morning and Zantac for any breakthrough.
  8. I've posted quite a bit on what it takes. Just search for my posts and you can find them. DO NOT be surprised if you are denied the first time. They are VERY specific about what they want and how they want it. Search google for Cigna bariatric policy and it will tell you all you need to know. Good luck!

TT and thighs at the same time?

From a medical perspective those incisions look great ! On the other side, ouch! Thanks for sharing! I think it's important people see what they are in for if they decide to do this

Any suggestions for liquid protein--no powders?

Apple and the pineapple orange banana are probably my faves. I like them all but the blue one and I don't remember it's name.

Any suggestions for liquid protein--no powders?

I love isopure. 40g of good whey protein. They are 20 oz, which sometimes is a bit much, but it's a good start to my day.

    Hot dog eating

Sad thing is I saw this and was sad I could never enter.... I love hot dogs!
  16. I found the same problem post op. I am a nurse so I tend to medicate myself, but I found that a Zantac right before bed helps a lot. Prilosec in the morning and Zantac at night. Of course you should discuss with your doctor to determine the best course for you, but this works well for me. Good luck!
  17. I'm walking around my house doing normal stuff but nothing beyond that. I live in AZ and its been too stinking hot to venture outside the house! I did a load of laundry yesterday which a) wore me out and got me yelled at by hubby! Just take it easy! You need time to heal.

    1 week post-op

Sleeved 6/25. Doing great, little to no pain. Liquids going down ok. Yesterday had a weird episode, felt faint and clammy, laid down then felt better. My doctor thinks it was a transient drop in my blood pressure. Still tired and weak, but am back to work and am happy happy so far. 9 pounds down since surgery.
  19. Drinking chocolate truffle with unsweetened almond milk now. Yum! I really like most all of them except the iced tea. Yuk.
