any west Texas sleevers out there?

lol...I'm in west Texas.. Odessa to be exact. Where are you?
  2. Ooh it's a crease. I thought I had butt crack and belly crack haha
  3. Geeez I'm glad I'm not alone. Down 107 lbs and it amazes me that my belly button has turned into a black hole. I thought I lost my belly button ring the other day but nope...just got sucked into the black hole. I have a tattoo above it of a butterfly... looks like a bat now that hit the windshield of a car going 90 mph! LOL

    Coffee anyone!

I have a cup of coffee every morning, and herbal tea at night. Mmm mmm
  6. I have become pretty obsessed with mine too. I can't believe where my ass can go these days...movie theater seats without lifting the armrest, a ride at the fair, the jeans at the stores I've never shopped at before. Me, my ass, and my sleeve have a pretty good threesome of friendship going on...it's a first lol

    Insomnia Post-op?

I had a month and a half or so of this. Drove me nuts! lol, but I eventually readjusted.
  8. Ensure? That's a first I've heard that. I'm sure it's probably got a lot of sugar and carbs? so that might be part of your problem. I do a premier protein shake..their pretty good considering. A hamburger? Not the best idea but I'm not judging...we ALL have our moments. Sounds like your not keeping track of what your eating? I use MyFitnessPal and it's a lifesaver! Watch out for little things...a pat of butter on your broccoli, a dab of salad dressing, coffee creamer...all those 40 calories here and 25 there really add up when your eating X calories a day. I would suggest sticking to lean protein and fresh veggies...no carbs. I've logged everything I've ate and drank for the last 8 months. I compared what I ate (carbs, protein, etc) to my biggest weight loss months (I chart and graph everything... I'm a dork...I know) but it helped. It's hard to know what your doing wrong until you know what works and what you did right. Once you figure that out, stick to what works best for you
  9. Seven months and twelve days post op, and I hit Onderland! My BMI is down to 42.3 from 60.5, and I'm down five sizes. I still have a ways to go but I feel amazing! I saved the outfit I took a pic in the day before surgery, but the pants were so big I couldn't keep them up lol.
  10. Thanks! I love it.. told my stylist I'm a different person now and not going to hide behind my hair anymore.. cut it off! I hated being told for so many years.. your face is to round for that cut.. I wanted funky and fun
  11. Thanks! Mommyhood has been great. He made A-B honor roll and is doing great in school! I'm so ready for the holidays!
  12. lol.. didn't know there was a big pants thread.. gonna have to do that!

How much weight will be lost?

I just did the math and I'm doing better than I thought. 172 lbs to lose (yeah...I know) and I'm down 99.6 lbs (that dang .4 lbs is taunting me!) My 60% would put me at 103 lbs and I should be there by the end of the month. That's a lot in 8 months. My mom told me the other day that I've lost my great grandmother lol (she weighed 96 lbs). I think after I hit the halfway mark I quit stressing over it. The weight will come off. My loss has always been pretty consistent at about 10 lbs a month and roughly 20 on a 20 day preop. I had surgery in Mexico, and considering I didn't have a nut and have done this on my own, I'm very proud of my success!

    Excess Skin and Insurance?

I treated myself to a brand new Xterra when I hit -50 lbs... Now that I'm pushing -100.. not sure what I'm going to do lol
  15. I'm 7 months out. I traveled home this past weekend to visit my parents. My mom and I were in her room and she had a pic of me on her dresser from a vacation years ago. I looked at it and said... omg I was so fat! It's hard to imagine being that big now...only 7 months later
  16. I can't answer for the vets further out, but I hit my 6 month 9/1. I have consistently lost 2-3 lbs a week. I have about 70 lbs more to lose before I'm content. I will also admit (keep you comments to yourself... you know who you are lol) that I have worked out a handful of times since surgery. I will also say that since my loss hasn't been so drastic all at once, that my body has adjusted quite nicely and I don't have a lot of sagging skin. I'm going to have to have my arms done but knew going into it I would. They were bad before, they really flap in the wind now haha. I've been very pleased to this point, and don't regret my decision to have the surgery at all. I am at the point where I'm not completely exhausted and drained, and plan on starting to exercise in Nov when the gym around the block opens. I think starting out with so much to lose, it really put my body into shock. For the first 4 months I would come home so exhausted I couldn't cat h my breath. Now that my protein intake is great and I eat some carbs everyday (not many, whole grain only) it's really improved everything. By birthday is in two weeks, and losing 100 lbs is the best gift I could have ever given myself. Ok, the new SUV when I hit 50 lbs wasn't too shabby either

Is this Sonic drink real? Sleever Friendly?

I used to get them preop. It's made with diet sprite so it's carbonated. BTW Chick-fil-a's diet lemonade is amazing!
