    Isopure drinks

Hey Jana .. I'm a Jana too So I have read a nutritionist on another site say to mix G2 with IsoPure (half and half) to help the flavor, or with Water to dilute the taste. That way your are getting some bonus Protein in your fluids and it goes a lot farther for $5 a bottle.
  3. Yes and yes lol. I am on day 7 of my preop and have lost 10 lbs as of today

    March Sleevers

So my name is Jana and I guess I will be kicking off the month for us. Was scheduled for Feb 28 but set for March 1 now. Started my 20 day preop diet yesterday--protien drinks, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, broth, SF jello and popsicles. Not a plain yogurt person, but I got one down today. Yesterday was tough, but today was a little better minus the headache. Counting those bad boys down...18 more to go!
  11. I have been on Calcitriol for several years...it's a prescription strength Vitamin D. I see me endo on the 12th and surgery on the 28th. I'm not sure what he will have me do but am sure I will continue taking it if not increase it. When my levels get low my kidneys stop playing nice so not taking it isnt an option.

    hair skin and nails

Biotin! I swear by it. I take Nature Made 5000mg one daily. Some of them on the market are horse pills, and this one is small about the size of a tic tac. Takes about two months for the levels to build up but it does wonders for hair, skin, and nails
  13. Off the top of my head... I think 8.5-10.5 on the serum calcium level is normal. Serum PTH level is normal about 10-65. Normal blood work usually gives calcium levels, but serum calcium levels are different...and a different test...they have to run a PTH panel to get it. I take two viactin soft chews and one calcitrol daily...keeps it under control and my parathyroids happy. Sunshine is the best way to give your vitamin D levels a boost naturally so take a walk or sit outside and enjoy some sun if the weather allows. It was almost 80 here today so I cranked on the a/c lol

I'm TJ also. who is your doc?
  15. I am vitamin D deficient but have hypoparathyroidism. I'm curious what your blood serum calcium level is (from a PTH panel).

I haven't tried them yet but stopped at GNC on my way home from work today. I bought 4 of the IsoPure protein drinks. They are buy 3 get 1 free so it was a better deal. Total was $16. They are 24 oz so two servings a bottle, 40 grams of protien total, 0 carbs. From what I read/videos, people either love or hate them. The main reason I decided on these was the are like Gatorade instead of a shake which I don't like. Will let you know how they taste
