  1. Ugh I did. I was at a big party and they had a nacho station!! I had about a cup of shredded lettuce' date=' salt, and pepper. Omg it tasted sooo good. Then I felt so guilty. My doctor said I did really good because my liver was great :). Still felt guilty[/quote']

Actually this happen in my pre-op. sorry misread the title! Post op cheat --- hell no!! I would never want to hurt my new stomach! :)

  2. I went to the bathroom (#2) today! Well kinda. Let's just say anything counts! I feel sooooo much better. :). Yes the warmer weather will be right around the corner. Usually I dread spring and summer because I can't layer up my clothes and try to hide my heaviness. I'm hoping this year ill loose a little and be comfortable in a short sleeve! I used to always lie and say I were cold lol

  3. I think it depends on the individual. I am 4 weeks out tomorrow and mine are nearly healed. 2 still have small scabs but my big one is completely healed. I also have been told Protein promotes faster healing. I have been a champ at getting in my protein so hopefully that has helped.

Typically' date=' they say 6 weeks most folks are completely healed.

    Hope that helps.[/quote']

Thank you it does. I have not been a protein champ :(

  4. I'm 3.5 weeks out and I had a single incision through my belly button and it is still not healed. I was worried and went in to see my surgeon and he said to give it more time. I hope it heals soon cause wearing pants is so uncomfortable.

Oh wow one incision. Aww I hope it heals soon for you. Yeah I've been using something like that cloth band thy give you out of surgery. I'm so afraid of messing something up. I'm scared whenever I try to shower. Plus I'm super squeamish (sp?)

  5. Thanks. That's what everyone keeps saying. I hope they're right. I've been home since Friday & absolutely miserable. Just so pale' date=' weak & exhausted. I haven't dared try anything on my stage 2 foods. I'm stuck with Water & popsicles. :/ I can't even imagine a Protein shake at this point....[/quote']

    I hope you feel better

  6. Thanks Colemon70.. I've just worked out that in lbs I'm a shocking 257lbs at the moment! No wonder my knees hurt so much. I just want rid of this weight so bad!

I'm very keen to know what kind of foods you are able to eat post surgery' date=' can you give me an idea about what you are going to do for Protein? thanks again.[/quote']

ahh i felt my knees going as well. I would love to have a child one day and couldnt imagine packing mire weight on these knees! Well right now I'm on a full liquid diet. sugar free drinks, Protein shakes and strained Soup. I'm not struggling with this at all because before surgery I was only allowed clear veggie broth, shakes, sugar free drinks, and Protein Shakes. Once I'm on the purée I plan on getting most of my Protein from shakes and soy milk. I've also been looking up recipes for edamame mash and purée veggie chili, hummus, guacamole. Then once I'm on solids, ill be able to incorporate tofu. Maybe some Indian food. I'm actually super excited. I didn't cook much before and now I am looking forward to putting more effort into my food and myself :). I don't think I'll have a problem at all being a vegetarian. If I do struggle ill be looking for a nutritionist that works a lot with vegetarians. Keep us posted on your progress.

  7. I'm a vegetarian as well. Been veggie for 18 yrs. I was just sleeved last week so I really can't advise you with how long you would need to take off. I an tell you I started at 225 and accent weighed myself. I'm still pretty swollen in my belly but I feel really good today. Exactly one week post op. I'm a hairstylist and am scheduled to start taking clients next week. If I were in your profession I might take an extra week or two off just in case. Good luck with everything.
