I've lost a total of 60 pounds so far and feel great

54 pounds gone. Come on sleevers. Lets get it. Started from 274 n now I'm 220. Surgery date was March 19th

I was on a three week stall and finally lost three pounds, not much but I'll take it. And I hit my first goal. Now onto the next short goal.

thanks marlygirly. ive been walking and taking gas x strips. i feel better nd can walk like a normal person with my iv of course.

Dr. Ortiz is highly recommended. Went through surgery with him on March 19th n I don't have any regrets. da staff are great ppl.

Down 6lbs on the Preop diet...this is day 7 for me. just a few more days!

I'm an official March 19th sleever! Excited but scared crapless! I cried all day today thinking about the "what if's?" I'm looking forward to sharing experiences and pray we all have great surgeries and smooth recoveries. :-)

I'm going in March, but not until the 22nd. Save a spot on the losers' bench for me!

I just had dr. jesus ortiz through a lighter me Ronda. I had surgery jan 3 and i was in the best care. Abraham picked us up from San Diego. We got to the hospital did all our tests, signed papers and i was off in to surgery. Next thing i know im waking up and the surgery i complete. I felt a little pain right after surgery but they give you meds in the iv to help with pain. I just slept and the next day i felt better. I kept walking the hall ways to release the gas that put into us that really helps. you'll enjoy Dr. Ortiz he speaks very good english and he is easy on the eyes. He is very attentive nad comes to talk with you daily. Right now im at the marriott in tj waiting for dr to see if i can get my drain unhooked and see if i can go home early. I wish I had seen this list before, and I am happy to be on the list. From jasleeve's name being thrown out she really helped when I had a leak. I hope I can be of help to someone going through the same in the future because I know how scary it was. ++I posted on a public website. People will do what they want with my info, possibly use it in a future study. My posts are searchable. Oh well life goes on.

Someone the other day called it a "temporary tool" rather than just a tool for us to use to regain control of our lives... I like thinking of it as temporary. It helps to remind us that it alone will not be the cure all. It will help us get started, but if we don't make other changes we may not be one of those 3 years plus success stories!
