    12-2612

    Starting weight 391

    Weight surgery day 340

    Today 256

That's awesome! Keep up the great work. Yeah, it's hard to see it in ourselves sometimes, that's why I truly appreciate when others notice also!

  2. From what I've read here, everybody has a stall or two or three. Just follow your program, fight head hunger, and... don't weigh yourself for a couple weeks!

I've been weighing myself literally everyday (just in a.m.) b/c I've been afraid that I'm going to miss out on something that I can quickly nip in the bud, so to speak. But, you know...I'm gonna go home tonight & put my scale up for two weeks. I'm gonna do it. Luckily, I'm not one of those that gets depressed by what I see on the scale, even if there is a stall. I just let my body do what it needs to do & give it my all. But anyway, to the person that made the original post, at times, it can be hard & discouraging. Stick to the plan & continue to give it your all. Let your body do what it needs to do. Everything will naturally fall in place as time goes on. We are all here for you. & we do understand how you feel.

  3. So, I try my best to stick to waiting 30 mins before and after eating to drink anything. I've sometimes lately gotten a little slack & did like 15 or 20 mins, but how do you all feel about this. Please share. I'm open to facts, opinions, EVERYTHING...cause I'm pretty easy going, lol. Thank you so much everyone. Oh, & I was originally told 30 before and 45 after, but my "Nut" said 30/30 is fine enough.

  4. Please hang in there. Try not to be too hard on yourself. I guarantee you that others see if much more than you do. BUT don't count on people to praise you for it. Some will but some won't, honestly due to jealousy (& maybe other reasons they have). You may want to start measuring your inches to have another way to look at it. You've lost a lot of weight thus far. Keep pushing to lose even more if that's your goal & don't look back. Success is yours.

  5. These past 7 months have been great & a lot of changes for that have made my life so much better. Wish I could of had this surgery done sooner in life , oh well , I'm living it up now. I can be that fun, energetic mom to my kids now. I can that happy wife to my husband , I can be proud of who I am & not be ashamed of letting myself go after having kids. I'm proud of what I've accomplished & who cares if I had surgery to solve the problem , I'm the one who took the risk , not anyone else. I'm the one healthy now. Here are my pics from before to the present.

This is great! I like all of the pics you posted also. The more the better, IMO. Thanks for sharing this & a big CONGRATS for your happiness & also for your family cause hunnnniiiieeee, you can tell hubby is delighted too! That's sweet. You guys enjoy each other & enjoy life cause it's short. :-)

  7. At this stage in my journey, I (Thank God) don't struggle with emotional eating. It helps that I released a lot of negativity from my life recently! BUT, work keeps my mind busy & when not at work, I try to stay busy with friends. When alone, I like to watch various things on my phone via Youtube. I also spend a lot of time speaking with close family that lives MILES away. Oh, & I exercise, too. These are all of the things that help me.

  8. That is a good suggestion by your doctor to lose weight before running in order to take stress of your knees' date=' ankles, feet etc. Also be careful about gait, stride and posture when starting to run in order to minimize injury. One style of running that helped me in the beginning is called ChiRunning. I have written a fair amount about it if you search through some of my older posts.[/quote']

Thank u very much. I love to learn. So, I will def look into it. I'll get bk with u & give u an update, too! :-)

  9. Desk job for me' date=' too. I'm fortunate that I work in a hospital, and can move around at will, unless I'm in a meeting. My office on the 4th floor, so I make sure to take the stairs up in the morning, and every chance I get in between as I go from floor to floor. Now that the weather is starting to turn nice, I was thinking about walking on my lunch hour. The ankle weights and thigh master are a great idea, too! Since my surgery, I went from not being able to make it up the steps without resting between floors to being able to easily go up all four flights at once. That's a sense of accomplishment![/quote']

    It sure is! That's awesome.

  10. Hey everyone! I'm just checking in. I had a hectic morning but was determined to exercise....& I did. I also stuck to my plan of walking on both breaks. I was also able to update my Ticker to reflect a loss of another 2lbs!!! I'm happy as you can tell. I had a mini stall, so this is great. Now this next part is for those of you that understand....I just want to give Glory to God, because he wakes me up every morning & gives me the tools & strength to (day by day) make my goals & dreams a reality. I'm so thankful for having the opportunity to have the surgery.

  11. Hi y'all I'm Bre. Sleeved on 4/10 single no kids. 25 almost 26 years old from Texas. I've been told "I'm really pretty for a big girl" and now with the weight coming off I hope One day I can just get a compliment without "for a big girl" lol. My love life is a hot mess so I'm not expecting a dating miracle once I reach goal but more of acceptance for myself.

Because....like RuPaul says " If you can't love yourself then how the hell you go'n love somebody else? Can I get a Amen?!"

Sent from my iPhone using VST

I know that's right!!! I'm always told how pretty I am, but I've been told that I have a "pretty face" on more than one occasion. lol...I don't wanna just be pretty, I wanna be hot!! my shape is returning. I had that Coca Cola bottle shape in high school. I've never been "misbuilt" as some put it, but I'm really fluffy now. Bringing my sexy back!! hahaha...

  12. Hello all! This group is a great idea! Well, it would probably be nice if I had a profile pic in a group like this, huh? lol! Well, I'm newly single & also newly sleeved!! I'm 30, live in TX, and I love my life after being sleeved. I exercise regularly. & Ladies, I just purchased Palmer's Belly Butter (not exact name).I will have to let everyone know how much it helps. I don't have children, but I got it b/c of weight loss/gain stretch marks. I'll have to go back through & read everyone's posts. :-)

  13. Hope everyone is doing well here! Forgive me for I am a newbie! :)

I started out going to a seminar in March and had my consultation April 11. I was told that I would need to have an EGD, evaluation and they really wanted me to have a sleep study. I am scheduled for the evaluation May 6 and EGD May 7. I just got a call that they wanted to do the sleep study TONIGHT!!! Seriously?!?! Talk about moving fast!!! I'm really excited about getting things done so quickly though.

I opted to do the study Friday instead due to work being so crazy right now. I'm really struggling with the idea I may have sleep apnea. I know it's ok but I'm such a light sleeper that I'm worried about the noise of the CPAP. I'm really hoping that by losing weight it will help me with not having to have a machine. I know there are a lot of other people that do just fine with it. I just don't really want one. Anyone else feel this way?!?! After you have a CPAP do you ever not have to have it?!?! Just curious...and nervous!!!

    WELCOME!!!!
