Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

I know that's right!!! I'm always told how pretty I am, but I've been told that I have a "pretty face" on more than one occasion. lol...I don't wanna just be pretty, I wanna be hot!! my shape is returning. I had that Coca Cola bottle shape in high school. I've never been "misbuilt" as some put it, but I'm really fluffy now. Bringing my sexy back!! hahaha...

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

Hello all! This group is a great idea! Well, it would probably be nice if I had a profile pic in a group like this, huh? lol! Well, I'm newly single & also newly sleeved!! I'm 30, live in TX, and I love my life after being sleeved. I exercise regularly. & Ladies, I just purchased Palmer's Belly Butter (not exact name).I will have to let everyone know how much it helps. I don't have children, but I got it b/c of weight loss/gain stretch marks. I'll have to go back through & read everyone's posts. :-)

Do you mostly sit at work all day?

That is awesome! You are very active & that's a major part of success. You encourage me to step it up a notch. THanks! I did get up early this morn before work to walk/jog on Tmill, though. Well, I actually shouldn't have been jogging yet due to my R knee, but it didn't hurt or swell up...Thank God. I just felt the run in me & I just wanted to take off. So I did. Sorry Doc!!! LOL...he just told me to get stronger & lose more weight before I run. That's all. I'm a very beginner runner.
  7. Yummy, yummy, yummy!!! The Gordon's New Skillet Crisp Tilapia is delicious!! I ate one yesterday with canned spinach on the side with approx 1 Tb of Tarter Sauce. I ate is slow & consumed a whole one. I really enjoyed it. It's light breading that is delightful, lol, really. Anyone else tried them? I got the Garlic Herb. I'm not big on Lemon flavored fish. :-) I'll be 2mos post-op in two days!
  8. Okay gals...lol...I will def have to try the grilled ones. So far, they've come highly recommended. :-) Yummy!

My Advice To All Newly Post-Op Sleevers...

This is a great topic! Thank you for adding it & for all of your fitness instruction/advice.
  16. I didn't starting losing right away either. I shrugged it off, cause I just firstly wanted to focus on my body feeling stronger/better & also I figured it might have been due to maybe still being swollen. It will come sure enough. Try to be encouraged when you think about the great things soon to come your way! congrats on a successful surgery. :-)

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?

Hi there, Sorry, but I don't remember the names of them, with the exception of Hydrocodone Elixir (spelling?). One was for anti-nausea, other for pain, other was anti-biotic. Hope I'm not leaving anything out. My PCP said that I didn't need the anti-biotic (the pricey one of them all) & part of the reason was b/c I'd already been home for a certain amt of days & it wouldn't be as effective anyway as if would've been had I gotten it asap.

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?

Sorry, it's me again!! lol...As far as having the surg, I wouldn't change that. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself.

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?

The original script that my surgeon gave was all written on one, so the pharmacy would not split it up & give me just some of it. He would not re-write them seperately. Also, the original script he gave totaled a little over $200. He'd prescribed me an antibiotic for precautionary measures & that was the bulk of the expense. (just wanted to give more clarification)

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?

I would have changed my surgeon to someone that was more personable & informative. He also prescribed me meds to get filled after leaving the hospital that I could not afford WITH GOOD INSURANCE & when I called him he couldn't have cared less. He commented that "Well, some people don't even have insurance & have to pay for it. There is a reason why we prescribe things. You were supposed to pick up everything. I don't prescribe anything else (as a substitution)." So, then I called my PCP & she called in everything I needed. It all cost me less than $50. She is awesome. He performed the surgery well, but as far as "bedside manners", not so great in that area. He also was not thorough with most of the instructions that he gave. He always seems rushed.

what do you eat for breakfast?

eggs, bacon (I've eaten regular center cut & still lost, no issues at all), but go with turkey bacon if you'd like, sausage patty with side of scrambled eggs from Mc Ds, Jimmy Dean Sausage crumbles with scrambled eggs, Oh...and I would not recommend this often, but there is a breakfast bowl you can purchase in the frozen food section. It DOES HAVE POTATOES. It's also high in fat. Now, I've eaten one (most of one) twice but I worked it around the rest of my day being low in fat. They are good!! I'm sorry that I can't remember the brand name though.
