  1. It's so exciting when you know it's going to happen. Best wishes!!
  2. I am 4 mos out and usually get about 650 calories. I am losing consistently- 3 lbs a week or so.
  3. Hooray for you! Good luck! You are about to change your life.
  4. I am not understanding how there are 'cliques'. Everyone has the same opportunity to respond or initiate a post. Are there private rooms I am not aware of? And if there are, who cares? This isn't high school.
  5. I was awake but felt nothing.
  6. You definitely are making great progress! Way to go!
  7. I feel sad that someone doesn't feel like they are supported on VST. I have found that lots of people respond to every question. I normally use my I Pad so I just view the current thread. Maybe there are threads I am missing! We are all in this together and everyone's experience is helpful to hear. Sometimes the only response is "call your doctor" because of the possibility of a serious medical issue. Might not find hat supportive but it might be he right response.
  8. I know how frustrating this is, but your body is adjusting to the new you. It thinks you are starving and holds onto everything. Keep trying to get the water and protein in. You may stall for a week or two but you will see changes in your body measurements. Stay with the plan- the loss will start up again.
  9. Start tracking your food and drink and track when you get dizzy. Kind of a pain but if I track I remember to eat and drink. If you aren't getting enough nutrients you could be dizzy. Did your doc do a blood test to check your blood sugar? What about blood pressure?
  10. I went for my three month post op appt. I have had no pain, no nausea, a slight stall and I stuck to my drs directions even though I felt great. I have lost 73 lbs. my doctor thanked me for listening to him- he said, that's the secret- do what your doctor tells YOU to do and if you want to jump ahead, call him and get his okay. Don't take some strangers advise on your stages of eating. There are plenty of people on here who got a leak, had gall bladder issues etc- you don't want that because you had to have some mashed potatoes. IMO
  11. I bought the cones and the liquid for my granddaughter but I bought sugar free by mistake. Just realized from your post that I can use it myself! Thx!!
  12. I am one who has been up front about having surgery so everyone I know is looking for changes in my weight. I get lots of compliments and it does feel good. But the best was someone who provided computer support in my office. I retired last July so it has been almost a year since I've seen him. I am doing some consulting and he was in the office. As soon as he saw me he said "Wow, you have lost a lot of weight'. That's when I could finally accept that I look different now.
  13. I am 66, sleeved on March 11. I have lost 60 lbs and have had no issues so far. Everyone says I look younger- I am not so sure because I think my wrinkles are more prominent. Doesn't matter- I can have Botox or a face lift at some point.
  14. That's great!!!! Wish we were all there. Watch for yourself on U Tube!!
  15. I am almost 4 months out and I continue to eat too fast. Ii have thrown up a few times because I didn't give myself time to realize I had enough. It is just a new habit to learn and I think I am better because now I know my limits of most things but...will this be forever? Probably because I hope that restriction is there for a very long time.
  16. I am an apple- 5' tall. Sleeved on March 11. Surgery wt was 243 and I am now at 290. I have lost at least one cup size - down from 48DD to 44d. I have lost a lot in my hips and legs. I still have a stomach. I have gone from Sz 22 pants to a 16 and a 3x top to an XL.
