  1. The only protein I can drink is the Premier Protein drinks. I stocked up on a whole bunch of samples pre-op and this is the only one I can tolerate. I am just very happy that I found Premier because I would have problems getting in my protein without them. I buy mine at Costco's. $24.99 for 18 drinks.
  2. I was actually dreading this part the most. I thought there was no way in the world I would be able to NOT drink while I was eating. Surprisingly, this hasn't been that hard for me. Most times, I actually go longer than 45 minutes and then I have to try to make up it. I am 10 weeks out and I still cannot drink cold water. Has to be room temperature. Works for me though.
  3. Sleeved 7/26. Down a total of 64 lbs. 21 pre-op and 43 post-op. I am losing slow and steady but I am very happy with my progress so far.
  4. Good luck today! Prayers coming your way!
  5. Congrats to all of you today! Good Luck!
  6. Congrats Melissa! Hope you have an easy recovery!
  7. Just saw your post now. I had my sleeve done at Magee Women's Hospital with Dr. McCloskey.
  8. AWESOME! You look fantastic, congrats!
  9. WOW! Your story is truly inspiring. Congratulations on your 112lb loss. I bet you will be at goal well before your 1 yr anniversary! Great job and again, CONGRATS!

  11. YAY! Congratulations and good luck today!
  12. I'm from Pittsburgh too! Post-Op almost 10 weeks now. When/was your surgery and what part of PA are you from?
  13. Sending you lots of prayers and good thoughts. Good luck!
  14. Congratulations on your approval!
  15. Today is my 2 month mark. I lost a total of 59 lbs. 21 pre-surgery and 38 post-surgery. I am still having trouble eating some foods and find I can't get more than 4 or 5 bites of anything in. I feel I am losing at a steady rate even though most times it feels slow. How is everyone doing?
  16. UPDATE: HW 269 SW 248 CW 210 Today is my 2 month mark. I lost a total of 59 lbs. 21 pre-surpery and 38 post-surgery. How is everyone doing?
  17. My wish for you is that three months post-op, you won't even have a desire to light up again. Believe in yourself and it will happen! Again, best of luck to you in your journey. Lorie
  18. Good luck to all of you today!
  19. I have never smoked so I don't know what you are going through but I wanted to let you know that I believe you can do this. My mom was a 40 yr smoker and didn't even think about quitting until a lung cancer diagnosis in 2012. I know it was the hardest thing she ever had to do but she is now in remission and feels so much better having quit. It really is mind over matter. Just remember all of the reasons you decided to have WLS in the first place. I'm sure being a healthier version on yourself is on that list. This is the first step to achieving that goal. Good luck!
  20. I felt the exact same way. Everyone will say that it gets better, and guess what, it does. I had a hard time getting my fluids in early out and the head hunger was driving me crazy. I finally decided that I WAS NOT going to let my frustrations get the better of me. I focused on working my plan and getting my fluids and Protein in and in a few weeks the clouds parted and the sun was shining. It will happen for you, too. You just need to power through the hard parts at the beginning. Good Luck!
  21. WOW! Great story and you look FANTASTIC! Congratulations!
  22. Congrats and good luck with your surgery tomorrow! Sending good thoughts your way.
