I promise you that it will get better. I am 5 months out and 79 pounds down from surgery. Things will change. You just went through major surgery so it will hurt for awhile. I had thought the same thing but I continued to think of how I will be a healthier person for my life and future family. Keep your head lifted... Welcome to the "Sleeved" life!

I just started my preop today and I am starving. I can only have 3 Protein Shakes and 64 oz of Water for the next 3 weeks. I am not a happy girl!

April 29th is my sleeve day!!!! 3 weeks...22 days... What in the world have I gotten myself into?! So here's my thing. I am a planner person and I have have no idea what to bring (other than myself and that darn CPAP), what not to bring or nothing! Please help!

I'm just getting started, but I'm not wanting to do this just to be skinny. I want to be able to tie my shoes without getting exhausted, I want to be able to walk to my mailbox without my knees screaming at me. I want to avoid the diabetes that 3 grandparents, mother, 2 brothers and sister and multiple aunts and uncles have. I want to have a conversation with my dad without him chiding me...once again...about my weight. I want to be able to go to amusement parks and not have to sit out on the rides. I want to.... live!
...and it wouldn't hurt to be able to look good in my clothes again.

I was like that in the beginning also, you just have to think of the real reason you are doing it. You have to be ready to make a change. You will be fine. My surgery is 4/24
