  1. Awwww... hang in there! Notice the operative word "YET" - I fully expect them as part of the process. Go try on smaller clothes - you might be surprised!! We'll all be here to Celebrate when yours breaks! Stay focused, you've got this!!!
  2. I don't weigh myself daily and I bump my calories up a few times a week to keep my body confused. I'm in week #11 now, no stalls...yet!
  3. Say what!!??? Wow - total transformation! You go, girl!!!

With my lack of rhythm, it could be down-right dangerous for the other people in the class!

    My surgery in Mexico!

Sexy Mama! Looooove the hat Proud of you, girl!
  6. Met with my nutritionist today and I am officially allowed to eat anything I want. I've not demonstrated any food intolerances and need to boost my Protein and caloric intake. It's weird though because I don't really don't feel like introducing anything new. The purpose of this post is to give people encouragement and hope that life gets pretty normal regarding food and as long as you stick to the basics and listen to your body, you'll do great!

kicked off of a fair ride....

It's happened to me too. I even went to Orlando where they have a few seats on the rides for big people and I was STILL too big! Not anymore I can sit comfortably in an airplane seat, use the belt (no extender) and I believe I am under the weight limit to use the slides in Water parks, so I am looking forward to summer. Of course I am going to look very, uh, interesting in a bathing suit, but who cares? Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!

    Suggestions for a protein boost?

Greek yogurt and string cheese really helps boost my protein - sound like you might have caloric room for that!
  11. I didn't weigh myself until 1 week post-op. My surgical team/center prepared me with a lot of information, so I was fully aware I would have Water retention right after surgery for a few days (if not a week). I was down 12 lbs after my first week (and that was with an additional 18 lb loss on the 2 week pre-op diet as well). I still only weigh myself once a week. I think it keeps me focused on the program and not a number.
  12. Sleeve was the clear choice for me as there are no malabsorption issues.
  13. Doing good - busy as hell! Not ready to pick out my summer speedo - but getting there

    Truth!

Don't worry - I'll join back in when it goes wildly off-topic!
  16. I am rooting for you all - I hope you get the same satisfaction feeling fantastic post-op with very tiny meals as you do with the big ones. I don't feel like I'm deprived at all and the weight is just flying off me (almost too fast). Very excited for you all

I do not enjoy food anymore

I go out to eat probably 10+ times a week. The only problem is that I get bored because I am enjoying a lot of restriction still. So I finish my food and the rest of my party still has a few more courses to go! NurseG, I totally get it - but let me tell you, the way I feel and the way that I look, there is no way I'm going to be depressed! I'll take my indifference/boredom with food instead of the guilt, shame and overall crappy feeling any day. Soon, you're going to catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and not recognize yourself. When that happens, you better let us all know!
  19. Ignore them, become super successful and snag the hottest doctor in the place!!!

    Truth!

I haven't had any food cheating - but I am super non-compliant in regards to going to the gym!!! Can't seem to get my butt there :-(
  21. I was the person that would have 4-5 refills of diet coke while eating out. I've had no problem retraining myself (so far) - you quickly learn every ounce is precious space in your new stomach (and you are eating so little) you won't want a drink while eating. We stay so hydrated, that eating and swallowing is no problem.

    3 weeks out to surgery

No catheter, no pain, uneventful recovery, great results so far! The only downside was my belly being shaved, but it's all grown back now. Life is good!

  24. I'm 2 months+ out and I can eat 1/4-1/2 of a side salad. I don't do it very often because it takes up a lot of space that I need for protein. Mostly romaine lettuce, no problems digesting it.
