  1. Hi, I'm able to eat a lot more now. My dinner is the biggest which is an entree plate. Just over half of the plate is made of Protein then 1/2 a cup of green veg and if I can fit it in a teeny tiny bit of carbs. I generally can't eat it all but I try and get in as much protein as possible.
  2. This is me (not even at my heaviest) nearly 5 years ago and the one in the black dress was 2 weeks ago and the red hat was last week. I had my surgery on May 7th 2013. Still got a fair way to go!
  3. My weigh in this week is 200. Damn that scale. Why can't you tip into the 100's!
  4. I lot of surgeons jump on the lapband bandwagon. Even my surgeon admitted that! Do what you think is best for you. As you know it's a hard decision to make but as long as you are making educated decisions I'm sure you'll do what's best for you. Good luck on your appt and let me know how how go!
  5. That's fantastic. Once you find the right surgeon for you then everything will happen so fast (even if you are not planning on getting it done until next year). Most of my appts etc took about a month or so (but spread out over 3 months) but then you will have paperwork for the hospital etc to complete and return too, and all of that takes time. Just read up on the surgeon and look on this site too for the surgeon on threads. Congratulations on starting your new journey!
  6. You'll want to find a surgeon close to home then with all of the appts you will need to attend pre/post surgery.
  7. What area in melb are you?
  8. Thanks misty, I've found it and replied.
  9. Sure I'm from melb who is it?
  10. I've now lost 40lbs since may 7. Slow losers unite! I've been working my butt off lately and not seen any change to the scales but I can definitely feel I'm toning up. I figured if I actually calculated how much in total I've exercised it looks like I've achieved a lot (well a lot for me anyway)! Here is the list so far: Swimming breaststroke 6km Running 11km Weights x 2 days for 40min Walking 7.5km
  11. Ok, I'm checking in again for this week. I was so disappointed after not losing any weight this week after working so freaking hard. So my new check in is actually 200lbs. That is a 2lb loss and I'm taking it!
  12. I can only have little to no Protein in the mornings so I usually have one pce of multigrain toast with butter and Vegemite with a sml skinny Cappuccino. lunch is usually a 85g can of either tuna or lite chicken chop chop dinner is high in protein, mainly red meat, zucchini and mushrooms or Beans. I alternate between red and white meat. Snacks are bega string cheese and mainland light cheese and crackers 30g.
  13. I'm eating 800-1000 a day but if I plan a big workout then ill up it to 1200 calories a day
  14. Thank you so much. I was so happy!
  15. That's what my dr says. He says the more they have to loose the quicker they do. He also says to me look at skinnier people how the struggle to lose it too.
  16. Happy to announce a 1kg loss. I've been working my butt off this week!
  17. Checking in for this week- 202. Finally broke that stall with a 2lb loss. Wahoo!
  18. In comparison to the rest of the May sleevers who have lost between 50-70lbs I consider anything less than 45 a slow loser. But that's my opinion!
  19. Let me know how you go!
