  1. I'm pretty sure ill be in July. My last weigh in is the beginning if June, and my insurance company said its a 3 day approval. Then we schedule 3 weeks from then. I'm SO excited!
  2. Wow you look fantastic! I'm still pre op but I have the same exact stats. I'm 5'3" and weigh 285lb. I also have the same body type. How is your skin holding up as far as looseness? You look young too (I'm 23) so I was just wondering.
  3. I have to lose about 160 so I'm looking forward to see other answers!
  4. How does purée chicken taste? I'm a texture freak and keep thinking of my son's baby food and how gross it smelled/looked
  5. I guess it depends on te doctor. I know my doc does some test during preop blood work the week of surgery and will postpone the surgery if it shows you still have the chemicals in your body
  6. I know my doc requires quitting 2 months before surgery. Not to preach, but if you can go a few months without it, why go back to smoking?
  7. That's the age I got it. I had an ulcer when I was 11, these symptoms started shortly after. Are there meds to manage it? I've tried almost all ppi's on the market and none work
  8. No I'm pre op. I've had csections, but obviously they wouldn't see it then.
  9. I though maybe it could be a hernia that's been missed
  10. Oh ok, because I've had chronic heartburn, diarrhea and gas for over 10 years. All tests come back fine and normal
  11. Did you have symptoms that's you wrote off as something else that was really caused by the hernia?
  12. Is it something they don't see until they're in there? Can it been seen by an endoscopy? What are the symptoms? I've had a lot of gastro issues for about 10 years and no one can pin point the issue. Wondering if maybe it's a hernia that's been unseen.
  13. This is good to hear. I've had two csections, one being an emergency where they cut me pretty hastily.
  14. Don't have anything to add because I'm pre op, but just reading through the titles of the threads, I stopped on yours and thought this was about a "male problem" lol
  15. My mother in law and father in law both got the band. They never lost more then 20-30lbs and they are constantly puking. They also say that the "good foods" are the ones that often get stuck while the crappy, unhealthy stuff slides right down.
  16. Maybe you need a different one? I've read here that some people need to change their ppi. I know protonix is a common one that's a little stronger then Prevacid. I'm on protonix now, but I'm still pre op
  17. Explaining your experience is different then generalizing and saying that the surgery is a waste. For MOST people it works the proper way. For the small minority something could have been done wrong. I'm sorry that your surgery isn't working for you, and I wish you future success.
  18. What a hottie you got there!!! How has her journey been with the RNY? I've been kind of contemplating doing a full bypass because I have a lot to lose.. about 160lbs.
  19. Ok, I've never once been sarcastic or mean on this forum. But your just ridiculous. Your either trolling, very uninformed, or just plain not smart. You make your own success. You fail, it's your own fault. Why even be on this site? To tell people to eat McDonald's and pizza and crap? This site is for people who have genuine support or advice. If you want to just be sarcastic, your really not needed here.
  20. I heard there is a "diet" where you eat 1000 calories (or whatever your normal calorie intake is) for 5 days, then cut that in half for two days. It kind of jump starts your metabolism. So 5 days of 1000 and 2 days of 500.
  21. Is it against the rules to accuse someone of trolling? Certain things that are being said seen too ridiculous to be real.
  22. I'm so looking forward to this!!! I lost my set while in the hospital having my son last June . They were a size 12! My hubby bought me a new (and bigger) set but I refuse to get them sized until I lose weight!!!!
