    One Year Surgery Anny 9-4-13

You look awesome! And I love the blonde
  2. I've battled with ulcers and GERD for well over 10 years. I've been on cocktails of meds, tons of endoscopes, specialists, hospitals, etc. I decided to go its the sleeve because I knew it was better to not re route my system, and I have a family member whose had grey success with the sleeve. My surgeon warned me that the GERD could continue, if not get worse. I was ok with it, I mean I've endured it for so long so I was used to it. Let me tell you, from the second I woke up in recovery, I have not had one single episode of heartburn, pain, or reflux!! It's been amazing!! Besides my weight loss, ip the sleeve has given me relief from all of the pain and stomach issues I've had since childhood! Not saying this is always the case, but this is my story good luck!

    My Story

Amazing! Do you mind if I ask what your before/current stats are??
  4. I may be a lucky case, but I had ZERO pain. From the second I woke up in recovery, I never felt pain. I never needed pain meds or a pain pump in the hospital, I walked immediately, and had very little gas. My only complaint was how dryyyyyy my mouth was! And the leak test drink was gross, but your so thirsty at that point that you won't even care lol! I'm 9 weeks out and 55.8lbs down!! Best decision ever!

    I really want a

I made the most delish cauliflower pizza crust! It wasn't exactly the same as real pizza, but satisfied my craving! And I may be the minority, and I'll probably get bashed, but I have soda once in a while. I take a can of diet coke, let it go flat for a day or 2, then sip it when I have a craving. One can lasts about a week.

    ulcers

I had ulcers pre op. my surgeon said honestly, it depends where they are in your stomach. If they are on the part of your stomach that is getting cut out then that's fine, but mine were right on the "staple line" so I had to wit for them to heal before he would operate.

    SEX!

I think this may be the best thread I've ever read! Lmfao!
  13. I'm only 8 weeks out, but I know tummy skin will be a problem. I'm only 23, but had 2 kids only 2 years apart (both csections). After already losing 51lbs, I can already see my tummy getting saggy. So my questions are What's recovery like? Was it covered by insurance? Wats the pain in comparison to a csection? Thanks!

  19. I agree. I started n a tight 24. It took losing 53lbs then all of a sudden I'm in an 18 the next day. The body works in strange ways!
  20. Before 299lbs 1month 2 months 246lbs Can you honestly see the difference? I feel like I can't see it in the last month. But I've gone from a tight 24 pant to a 18!
