  1. Thank you. He isn't a horrible person. It's not like he cheats or lies or drinks.. he is just someone who doesn't show emotion or make an effort. Likes his alone time and sometimes just doesn't want to be bothered with me or the kids.
  2. Oh man, what a topic! Well, when my husband and I met, I was 19 and a college cheerleader. I was heavy in Hs, and lost 60lbs in college getting to an all time low which was a size 8. My relationship with him started off completely just sexual (sorry TMI). I ended up pregnant 6 months later while on birth control. I wasn't in love with him, but we decided to parent anyway. It was rough, going from being "hook up partners" to a couple and parents. I gained over 80lhs that pregnancy because of depression. After I had my son, I gained about 20 more from severe post partum depression. We split up for a while, and I think I went back to him because it was easy. I knew he wanted me, even if he wasn't the best for me. Now, 4 years later, were married with another baby and we still have a rocky relationship. He's not unsupportive, but he's not terribly supportive either. He never tells me I'm pretty, or tells me that he notices my weight loss. But if I say "hey I lost 5lbs this week" all he will say is "good job" and leave it at that. He's a great provider financially, but a crappy husband and so-so father. We'll see what happens. As my self confidence has gone up, I've been more "ballsy" during fights and standing up for myself. Not sure if I even answered the post lol. Sorry I hijacked it!

    Is this normal?

I stalled from week 3 to week 7, then dropped 6lbs in 2 days, and I've been losing consistently since. I'm 11.5 weeks out

    First Post-op Post

Yay! Welcome too the sleeved side! im about 11.5 weeks out and I was e same as you. I had zero pain or nausea after surgery, and haven't used anything more powerful then Tylenol since waking up in recovery! Even if you feel great, keep walking! It will help prevent gas and blood clots. I had a very easy time with fluids. I was more scared then anything. The warm tea/broth definitely felt better going down then cool liquids. Hope you keep having such an easy recovery!

    slider

Lettuce is a slider for me too! The first time I had it I thought "my sleeve is broken"!! Lol. Then I ate some chicken and got stuffed after 4 bites.
  6. Oh man.. This thread has made me disgusted, and hungry at the same time lol!
  7. How about something like puréed chicken wi gravy? Or eggs? Or egg salad (puréed)? Those filled me while on puréed.

    6 month pre op diet

During my 9 month pre op diet, I gained about 12 lbs. my surgeon was fine with it, in fact, he said it was normal. My insurance still approved me within 3 days after paperwork was submitted.
  9. I was sleeved July 3, so I'm 11 weeks out today. I believe I've had good weight loss. I've lost 47lbs since surgery, and 57 counting my pre op diet. So why am I stressed? I'm always hungry, all foods agree with me, and I feel like I'm doing this 100% with will power alone. I got this surgery because my will power sucks. I could sit and graze all day if I allowed myself. I track on MFP every day to hold myself accountable. I average 750-850 calories, 30g carbs, 70-80g of Protein and 60-70oz of Water. I try to exercise 3-5 days a week. I weighed 243 on Monday, and as of this morning I'm 247.5!? What gives?? I'm just so frustrated with this "diet" consuming my entire life. I'm constantly worrying, and weighing, and tracking, and thinking of what I could eat at my next meal that will have enough protein, but no carbs. Ugh! I don't want to be like this the rest of my life!! I got this surgery young (23) so I could ENJOY the rest of my life... not stress about it. End rant. Thanks for reading/listening.

    1.5yrs post op-need help

I've only been sleeved for 11 weeks, but I've been breast feeding my son for 15 months now. My NUT suggested healthy fats like nut butters, avocado, etc. Make sure your getting enough fluids to keep your supply up, and eat every 2 hours. Just make sure you concentrate on protein first, then veggies, then starch. I've had no issues with my supply, except when I was on my pre op diet. I eat about 800 calories per day, but nursing a newborn on demand, I would try to eat 1000-1200.

    Do you still get hungry?

I get hungry, and it's definitely real hunger and not head hunger
  12. Like jerseygirl, tracking is very important for me. I'm 10 weeks out, and can tolerate any/all foods! I have horrible habits with grazing, and tracking keeps me in check. I have great restriction, but I could snack all day and easily consume probably over 1000 calories!

    Best and worst "compliments"

Best: "wow where is the rest of you!" Worst: "you know after losing all that weight your going to have tons of extra skin" Weirdest/awkward: my friend said to her husband "look how much weight Jess lost!!" he looks me up and down and smiles at me and my friend said "wait, did you just check out my best friend!?" Lol!

    Not sure where to start..

8 weeks out and have only walked. I'm joining a gym next week and really don't know where to start. The gym charges a lot for a personal trainer, about $110/ session so I am trying to avoid that. I'm 51lbs down, with about 100lbs to go until my personal goal. I want to know the fastest way to burn fat, while avoiding loose skin. I've had 2 csections, so I know my tummy will be a problem area. Any suggestions or routines for beginners?? Thank you!
