  1. I usually stay under 20, but I've gone as high as 60 on rare occasion.
  2. I did a lot of omelettes, meatballs, meatloaf, chicken salad, egg salad, I don't like tuna but you could do tuna salad. I did lots of cheeses and deli meats, chili, chicken from the crock pot and chew chew chew. The PA told me that I could get a little experimental as long as I chew food into a paste
  3. Very well! I'm 6.5 weeks out and 47lbs down (37 since surgery). I'm on regular food.
  4. He's with NY bariatric right? I used the same practice, but a different surgeon. Loved them!

    Candy Dreams

I had a dream like that when I was on my liquid diet. I dreamt that I was eating chicken, knowing I was only allowed to have fluid! I woke up wondering if I had done damage to my sleeve or not lol.

    Smoking question

My surgeon requires that you have to quit 2 months before surgery. He does blood/urine tests during pre op testing and will NOT do surgery if ere are traces of nicotine
  7. I've been using Calorie Count thus far, but decided to give MFP a shot and see which I like better. My username is Kia923. Add me! Thanks everyone
  8. From what I've heard, vitamin b12 helps with energy
  9. My aunt lives in valley stream. I live in suffolk county!
  10. Where about in Long Island if you don't mind me asking?
  11. 6 weeks post op and down 44lbs (woohoo!). I've officially been cleared for all and any exercising, but I have no idea what to do and how much. I've only been walking thus far. I'm getting a gym membership next week and would like some suggestions about how to maximize weight loss while minimizing my loose skin! I have pretty good stamina and strength, and I'm 23 if that matters. Suggestions please!
  12. Surprisingly well! I've lost 35lbs since surgery (45 since preop diet). I've been cleared for all exercise and food. I try certain things here and there, but completely stay away from bread/rice/pasta. I get my Water and Protein in no problem, I usually eat all my protein, with the occasional shake if I'm out and about. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself and my kids!

    Winning!

This was my big thing too! I actually went online and looked up the weight limit of the rides at the local water park. It was 250 and I was weighing in at 299 . I'm 45 lbs down an planning a trip to Disney in 2 years! I can't wait!
  14. My mom did. But she went I knowing that it was a possibility because she has some liver damage. They ended up not realizing HOW bad her liver was and couldn't sleeve her. So really, she was cut open for nothing.

    A bit worried :(

Both my nutritionist and surg said 3 meals of 4oz each and NO snacking. If I feel hungry in between I'm supposed to have water

    Carbs

6 weeks out and less then 20 grams usually
  17. I'm 6 weeks out today. I lost 22lbs in the first week and a half, then stalled for almost 3 weeks, then dropped 12lbs in the past week and a half. Just don't get discouraged when/if you hit a stall. You should take measurements because you'll be losing lots of inches.
