  1. I'm fighting it bad today. I think it's hormonal and the fact that its my birthday and I didn't reach my personal goal of being under 200 is what has me down. I took the day off of work to go do stuff with my hubby and all I really want to do is have a good cry and maybe wallow in my misery. Gonna try to fight it. Sucks when people don't understand why you feel the way you do. Rationally I know I will get to my goal but the emotional part is in the driver's seat today.

  2. Is there any one in the the San Antonio area that' all ready been sleeve or about to be sleeve.... I turned in all my things today at my hospital I had everything done in less then a month.. Im having my surgery done at ft. Sam Houston military hospital...They don't ask for to much blood work' date='upper gi,Psych eval, 2 support classes, three 2hr Nutrition class, and that about it for me, your approve Automatically once ur bmi is over 35[/quote']

I'm in SA and had me sleeve done on Feb. 19, 2013.

  3. I have yet to throw up. Got close one time but haven't yet. I am now experiencing Hair loss but I'm not too worried bc I have alot of thick hair so II have some to spare. I finally got out of a stall today and hit 219. I was sleeved on 2/19 so I was thrilled to hit this weight finally. I have my 3 month follow up on Monday. I am going to have to get rid of clothes soon bc they are fitting me too big now. So happy about that. can't wait to hit onederland.

  4. I was sleeved on 2/19 and I haven't hot 50 lbs yet. I started at 261 and today I finally hit 219. I was stalled. But people say I look thinner and I have been wearing clothes that I haven't been able to fit into for over 2 years. Today I put on a pair of crop pants that I won't be able to wear again. They were literally falling off of me. Slow weight loss is frustrating but it's weight loss and that's what matters. I can't wait until I hit onederland. Oh and I'm short. I'm 5' 1".

  5. I recently moved to TX from Fl' date=' where my surgery was done. I'm near SA/Austin. I would love to have a TX meet n greet!!! I wouldn't mind helping out if we wanna plan one!?!? I don't have any friends here and maybe I could meet some through this community!?!?[/quote']

    I'm in SA!!

  6. Thank God I'm not alone. I was feeling sad about 3 weeks after my surgery. I would start crying for no reason but it went away. Now that I had my 2 month surgiversary I started feeling sad and blue again. Since Sunday I have been sad, mad, and just generally feeling depressed. It has gotten better but I still don't feel like myself.

  7. I'm at my surgeon's for my 2 month follow up after surgery. They were checking my blood pressure which was great 119/78 and they used the small cuff on my arm. They didn't have to get the bid jumbo arm cuff out. Not even the medium one. They took out the little one. Wow!! I'm so excited.

  8. I bought these bottles at Costo and they each hold 24 ounces. Since I splurged and got Sparkeletts Water delivery, I figured I better buy something to drink that water with. It has also cut down on the amount of bottled water I was buying. At the end of the day, when I have finished my 3 bottles I know I have met my water intake goal. Doesn't mean I won't drink more water though but at least I will do my minimum intake. I carry them in my little ice chest so I can drink throughout the day since I'm a home health speech therapist and I work out of my car. So far I have finished 2 bottles so that means I only need to drink one more. Yay!!

  9. So I have been losing weight, have good restriction, and doing good overall. But I kept wondering where was all this energy that's supposed to come with losing weight. Well I hadn't realized that I have been doing more things. This weekend was a prime example. I went to a pet event with my Yorkie so there was a lot of walking, went to the mall, and started cleanings the house. Today I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in months bc I never felt like doing anything, took my dog to training, then went shopping at costco. I just realized that my energy level is better bc I have been doing things on the weekends when usually I would stay home or if I went out and did one thing I would come right away exhausted. I have gone to several events around San Antonio that have involved physical activity like walking. It's only gonna get better from all here on end.

  10. I'm a home health speech therapist which means I'm in and out if my car all day. I originally planned to be out 2 weeks but after driving myself to my doctor's two week post op appointment I realized I needed another week off. I probably even should have taken 4 bc my energy level was very low. But the pain was gone by then. I do alot of bending and sitting on the floor and carrying kids so that's why I needed 3 weeks off.

  11. I quit cold turkey the day before surgery. I really haven't been tempted other than wanting something besides Water to drink. I don't honk I had withdrawal symptoms but if I did the pain of the surgery covered that up. I was sleeved on 2/19 and I haven't had a Diet Coke since 2/18. So quitting cold turkey worked for me. Granted right before surgery I weaned myself from the Diet Coke. I went from drinking 6 or more a day to only drinking 1. So that also helped as well.
