Hi everyone. I was sleeved march 1st. I was 224 when I applied, 212 day of surgery and today at 7 weeks out I'm 186. My question for the successful lowbmi losers:
How many calories do u eat in a day? I'm between 600-800
How many carbs in a day? I've been told 50-75mg. Keep in mind some carbs are needed to avoid ketosis.
How much & what kind of excersise do you do?
Help me out. Thanks

I am 7wks porlst op and its still difficult to eat slow. Its a mind thing i know but anyone else struggling too?

I went with Dr.Kelly. He is a really sweet man. I did not go through the Mexico bariatric centre though as they do surgery out of a clinic. I contacted Dr.Kelly directly and had surgery at Florence Hospital. It's a little more money but I would rather be at a hospital. I paid $5500. Hey everyone. I am at the hospital with 2 other people waiting for surgery. All the pro op testing is done just need the IV and compression socks and then we are ready to go.. We met 2 people who had the surgery yesterday as well. They are doing better, a bit nauseas but doing ok wish me luck! Btw we are not allowed to have anything till after the surgery and I am so damn thirsty lol

Way to go albertamom! I am right behind you! Flying out tomorrow morning. Keep us updated on how you do btw I have the same feelings as you. You are not alone

Hi Laura! I'm Megan, also 23, would be happy to support you via this website. I am post-op. My surgery date was a little over 2 months ago, November 19th! I started my pre-op diet on November 4th (2 weeks of Protein shakes) and since that date I have lost 71 pounds. Having this surgery was the single BEST thing I have ever done for myself. Me! My surgery is set for March 1. I just started my pre op diet and its not fun, BUT I know it's worth it.

What a great account of your journey. It makes me feel even more secure and happy with my decision to go with Dr Kelly. 8 and a half days to go!!

I have completed all my testing except pre-op. I am scheduled to be sleeved March 15! I hope to lose 100 lbs, but mainly I hope to improve my health.
