    Surprised

I'm a little stressed because I have a huge goal to reach, my doctor wants me to lose 65 pounds in 100 days. I am at 27 pounds in 35 days..... More water, exercise and protein. In going to try to burn as many calories as I eat through exercise, to see if I can get rid of this horrible stall.

    Surprised

I was sleeved on the same day and have been having the same issue. I'm going to increase protein to 90-100 grams per day to see if it helps.

    All of my December sleevers...

My physician set my goal. He said that it is harder to lose weight the farther you are from surgery. He mentioned he is more aggressive than most doctors, but he has a very high success rate. I am limited to 600 calories, 20-40 carbs and 90-100 protein. I will keep you updated on if I start to lose again.

    All of my December sleevers...

Just had my post op appointment, I'm at 5 weeks. New goals ~ lose 65 pounds in 100 days, I'm at 35 so far. 90 to 100 grams of protein, bump up the exercise until I'm out of breath and at least 45 minutes. See him again in 2 weeks, hopefully can lose some more because I have had some stalling. I will need to have 2 protein shakes a day to hit that goal and he said that was fine. I really like the lean shakes from gnc, they taste great! Wish me luck, I want to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I have 130 pounds to goal.

what is your favorite snack post op

In kind if boring, at five weeks out, I eat fruit flavored mints (certs, ice breakers, etc). They are low in carbs and satisfy the sweet tooth.
  6. Finally broke my stall today :-)
  7. I'm 4 weeks out and have stalled for about a week, what have you done to help get the scale moving again?

    All of my December sleevers...

Finally broke my 2 week stall today with a 2 pound loss. Yesterday I ate all of my protein and did about 700 calories versus 600. Not sure if that was the reason, but today was a great scale day :-). I have been trying to walk as much as possible, in stores, around the block, etc. if I do not get 30 min in, I make up the rest on my treadmill. I finally will have my follow up with my doctor next week, he is out of town so it will be at 5 weeks, hoping for a good visit. His goal for me is 60 pounds in 90 days, so I'm half way there.

How long did you take off work?

I'm in hr as well and I took 3 days off, worked from home another 3 days and then went back to work. I was pretty exhausted at the end of the day, but getting back to normal was a big help.
  14. Just hang in there and remember each day is a new opportunity to have a fresh start. I am 4 weeks out and have just started solid foods. I am at 600 cal per day, no more than 40 g of carbs, and 70-90 grams of Protein a day. Getting it all in is a challenge but I try my best each day. Good luck on the yoga class, if you enjoy it you will stick with it longer. We are all here to support you.
  15. Russell, I have taken your advice and started working out on the treadmill. :-). I am traveling all week so I will check out the scale when I get home.

I'm sorry to hear about your heartburn. I do not have that issue , but read on another post that pickle juice helps. I hope you feel better soon.

    Help! Having trouble eating...

Unfortunately I did not have a lot of variety of soft foods, my only options were yogurt, cottage cheese, soft eggs, tofu. I only like cottage cheese and eggs.

    Cheeseburgers?

I had my first social lunch and just said that I was watching my diet and had a protein shake so i wasn't very hungry, I then took the dessert to go and gave it to one of my kids (mini dessert from Olive Garden). This seemed to make it seem normal and no one asked questions.

    Full feeling

You can use 3 or 4 ounce cups ( Rubbermaid has some) to make sure you do not over eat. I also weigh my food on a cheap scale I purchased from target, I done want to stretch my sleeve and I am 4 weeks post surgery.

    Help! Having trouble eating...

I also have a hard tone with medication and vitamins, so I put them in my bathroom where I go every morning to get ready for the day.

    Help! Having trouble eating...

Try yogurt or cottage cheese to start. I have felt better with softer food. I was sleeved on 12/26/12, so we are about the same timeline. I have found that if I feel too full, I walk to make myself feel better. I am just experimenting on which foods I can tolerate and I hove found the shrimp works good for my system.

    All of my December sleevers...

In not a big water drinker either and gave added mio to mine for flavor, it has no calories, and tastes great. It really helps get it in my system. My doctor says I can count any fluid towards water consumption, but it has to be zero calories. I also count my protein shakes, I have found one that has 25g of protein, 170 calories and 6 g carb, it is total lean shake from gnc, it is delicious. :-). We need the liquids to flush out the fat, but it is hard. I have not quite made the 64oz but come closer each day. I also use my fitness pal to track everything and it helps me stay at the 600 calories a day :-)
