Hi guys. Just wanted to let u all know that I feel amazing! 2 weeks post op today. Getting all my fluids in every day, no pain, no dizziness anymore and feeling awesome. Still struggling with Protein but I'm sure that will happen once I start eating more. I am totally in love with my sleeve. This is the best decision I have ever made. Oh, and I'm down 15 kg including pre op. yay me! I do have to say thank you to each and every one of u! The support I have gained from this and other sites is unbelievable. I'm off for a catch up with some other Toowoomba sleevers today and so looking forward to it. My new life has started and I love it!!!

Hi kelli. I love my sleeve! I am coping ok. I can eat less than a 1/4 of a cup at a time (which I think is due to swelling) and am managing about 750 mls of Water a day. I'm really trying to concentrate on getting my fluids in and have been increasing by at least 125 mls a day. I will get there eventually. I feel quite well but still get a little dizzy at times and need to sit down. Just taking it slowly. I have a little bit of discomfort on the left hand side where the drain was but am not taking any pain killers at all. Oh... And I feel full all the time! It's great!

That's it. Has taken me a whole to get comfortable, but now I am set. Lol

Hi everyone. I made it!!! Have been feeling pretty ordinary today but am starting to pick up. Have been up for a couple of little walks and trying to get in sips of water. Onwards and upwards from here. Thanks heaps for all of ur support. Couldn't have done it without u guys.

Thanks for all your kind words yesterday. Dr ended up giving me a day pass so I was allowed out of the hospital for a few hours which was wonderful. Everything is going well and surgery is booked in for 6.30 am tomorrow! Fingers crossed everything goes well this time.

Hi guys. I'm feeling quite flat and disillusioned at the moment. Still in hospital. Physically I feel fine with little to no pain. Still on lots of IV antibiotics. Plan is to go ahead with the sleeve on Friday. I'm terrified that something else will go wrong. And my emotions are all over the place. Getting teary just writing this post. What the hell is going on with me? I want this surgery. It will b the best thing I have ever done. So why am I so scared?

I am still in hospital and will likely be here until they do the sleeve. I'm feeling ok, just a bit sleepy still. No pain what so ever but then I guess they haven't actually done much. Lol I totally trust my surgeon. He is really good. He came to visit before and explained exactly how It happened (even drew me pictures) and what the plan from here is. He is being cautious which is great. He said he could have done the sleeve but didn't want to run the risk of infection. I am happy with his decision, even though more waiting sucks! Thanks guys. Helen

Well no sleeve for me The surgeon accidentally knicked my bowel, so he stitched it back up and has me on hard core antibiotics. Hopefully he will do the sleeve Friday.

I am on day 7/14 of optifast. It does get better. When u are feeling hungry have a big guzzle of Water. It helps. As u progress (usually day 3 - 4) the hunger subsides. I'm actually quite amazed at how little hunger I feel now. In saying that, my head would kill for a steak!!! The tummy however is not concerned!

Hi Nikki! First week if opti is done and dusted. Woohoo! Only one more week to go... The thought of dying does scare me and over the last week I have been tossing up the idea to write letters to my kids - just in case. In saying that though, it is a risk I am willing to take. I would prefer to be healthy and active so that I can enjoy life with my boys rather than eat myself to death, which is where I was heading. But that's just me. U will make the decision that is right for u. I have lost 4 kg so far on my opti diet, and already I am noticing a difference. I have been more active in the last week than I have in months. Isn't it amazing that by just dropping those couple of kilos I feel so much better? Or us that just my mind playing games with me? Either way I'm happy
