    Post op march sleevers

Sleeved on Monday, the gas pains are getting better, although the minute I take a sip of water they start, only with water. I can drink tea and broth. I'm seriously thinking about jumping ahead to some creme soap. I can't so tired of the tea, water, broth. I don't like most favored stuff so popcisles or jello aren't an option. My diet says clear foods for day 1-7 but reading here, tree seems to be some latitude depending on different doctors. I haven't been able to get pass 36-40 oz a day yet.. Amazingly enough I had a small bowel movement this morning. Who'd thought I'd get so excited over something like that.. I guess I needed visible proof that everything is functioning as its supposed to be.

    post op gas

I got home yesterday about 7 pm and am exhausted. I had a 35 mile car ride. I didn't sleep well the one night in the hospital. Today I only managed 24 ounces of tea, broth and water. The minute I start drinking anything the gas pains are unbearable. Water is the worse. My blood sugars are higher than they should be I think, but the endocrinologist said to bring them down gradually so I don't get in a crisis situation. I've had a low level, headache ever since the pre op diet. I'm hoping to do better tomorrow, get some walking in, I know that may help the gas out. My aim is to walk to the mail box. I know I'm whining but can't help it. Plus, I weigh 1.6 lbs more tan I did the day of the surgery.

    Tell or dont tell

I'm scheduled for Monday. I told my immediate family as well as my in laws I have cautioned my husband to remind his sisters and mother that it isn't to be discussed with other relatives. I'm not interested in the opinions or comments of more distance family and they would offer them. I'd rater not have to spend the energy verbally slapping them. My daughter has lost 100 lbs on her own in the past year, and we've discussed how intrusive people can be. How much did you lose? How much did you weigh before? Some people are really obnoxious and persistent. Is there a reason, people can't just say "you're looking well", and leave it at that? I find asking someone personal questions about their health appallingly rude, but some folks just don't get it.

Anyone with pending March surgery date?

I'm scheduled for March4th. This is day 2 on the pre op diet.so Carnot too bad. I just have to check my blood glucose levels more frequently. At this point, I have more anxiety around getting through the pre op diet than the surgery. I have heart issues and have had multiple surgical procedures for that, so that surgery itself doesn't faze me anymore.

    Any March Sleevers?

My date is March 4th. If there is a cancellation it could be moved up to Feb18th, but I would need to know by the end of the week so I can start the pre op diet on the 4th.
  7. Got my approval. I have Aetna, it took 9 business days. However, I'm disappointed that the first available date is March 4th. They did say if someone cancels with enough time for me to do the 2week preop diet they would call and move my date up. I guess 5.5 weeks is that long, but patience isn't my strong suit.
  8. I'm waiting for Approval from Aetna, I went through the required program for $150.00 and now waiting for final approval. You go through the pre op nutrition and psych consults, get every medical test under the sun done, and coordinate all the records and reports being sent and then it still takes 2-4 weeks for the insurance company to approve. It's as if they are trying to wear you down.
