  1. How many calories are you averaging a day now? One you get to goal and have stayed there for a few weeks' date=' I'd try increasing calories a small amount at a time to find your TDEE or the amount you can take in with your continued level of exercise. ( if you plan to continue it). I think most find that your loss levels out if you increase a little slowly of GOOD calories. Maybe increase your good fats/carbs a bit.

I usually get in 900 to 1100 cals. but then on work out days I end up burning half of what I eat. I have even cut out diet foods and switched to regular. Its important that I keep working out because I still have a lot of toning to do (thankfully I do not need plastics but I have to kill it in the gym).

  2. I am getting close to my goal (5-8 lbs. to go) and Im wondering how that works out. I weight train 3 times a week, and cardio 3 times a week, and if I continue this rate, I will lose to much weight. Any suggestions?

  3. I've been in maintenance about 1 1/2 years. I slowly added calories to stop losing. Took a bit of tweaking to get stable' date=' but I'm there. Can you post in the vet's forum? That's where most people who are in maintenance mode are.

    Thanks Lynda!

  4. Hi all!

Since we are past the 6 month mark, according to my doctor it is time we take into consideration what our gall bladders are up to. I know every doctor is different, but if you haven't had that talk with your physician/nut, maybe you should consider it. A considerable percentage of WLS surgery patients have to undergo gall bladder removal because of the drastic change in weight and if any of us can prevent it, all the better!

  5. I know that feeling all to well. I too have to struggle with wanting a few Cookies and always struggle trying to keep those carbs down. I've also slowed on taking my Vitamins etc... It's taxing sometimes

I think tracking your food helps a lot with the guilt of cravings. I have my occasional cookie or brownie, and Oreo 100 cal packs are a staple in my diet. Tracking for me has made me aware of what Im eating and if I can have that little indulgence.

  6. Wish there was a magic pill or whatever to make this whole date crap not so very craptastic. But at least we can chat with eachother.

I'm single too and it kind of sucks and kind of doesn't. It sucks when you're lonely and you just want "your person"' date=' the one that is yours and you share the highs and lows of life with. It doesn't suck when you have to hear all the horror stories from others about the sh*tty side of dating.

However, better a sh*tty day in paradise than working right? Lol.

And it's all well and good that I'm under 200 now, down 117 since surgery (11/20/12) but try still being almost 6 feet tall. I will NEVER be petite and guys want small, which I cannot change my height so that leaves me S.O.L.

And BTW acting nurse...you should have no problem whatsoever. Very handsome indeed.[/quote']

I hear ya. My married friends seem to think Im living the life...Sex and the City style. I do go out from time to time and I really enjoy owning all pf my time, but there are those moments when it just gets rough!

On another note, by now acting nurse probably has a girlfriend. Lol.

  7. I was sleeved 2/12/13. I now get hunger pangs but its nothing you should worry about. I do 6 meals a day and my body is pretty much used to having mini-meals. The pangs kick in when I skip a meal... Not randomly, or all day. If a crave a brownie, I make it a mini-meal. Im super happy with my results and my new lifestyle. Good luck!

  8. Yep, hairloss happens. Good news is it stops. I will be 6 months post op tomorrow and my hairloss has reduced dramatically. My weapons of choice are Biotin Shampoo, and 10,000 mcg of biotin a day (thats the strongest dosage), and most of all I didnt stress about it. Take that picture of your fallen hair and delete it. Looks whatever falls out pick it up, throw it out and dont look back. My hair was down to my waist and my hairdresser trimmed off about 3 inches. I refused to cut it all off because I told myself it wouldnt come to that. Stay positive! Mind over matter!

  9. I wanted to Also loose the "100lbs" in 4.5 months. But that didn't happened. I started out at a size 22/24 now I'm at a size 12/14. Yay

I'm rebooting this week trying to break the bad habits of slider foods.

Day 2 in the 5 day pouch test. Yay

Hoping to get to goal by 9- 10 months.

What is a 5 day pouch test?

Btw, your results are awesome! It may not be 100 lbs. but you dropped quite a few sizes!

  10. My only regret was going into it expecting the same recovery as one of my friends... She told me that she even forgot at times that she had the procedure. What I learned from this is that EVERYONE is different. We all have a different journey and recovery process. Other than that, it is the best thing I have done in my life. Im soo happy and wish you the best! You are going to love your sleeve!

  11. Why dont you use My Fitness Pal? It has really helped me stay on track of my food. I think you should relax a little in figuring out a calorie formula for your weight loss. Most of us eat under 1200 calories a day, and we all go through stalls. When we go below that, our body goes into starvation mode and shuts down any weight loss. It is our metabolism's way of keeping us healthy. Best of luck!

  12. I think everyone approaches this differently given the set of people you know. I have been open about it to my friends and family and have gotten nothing but support. I am one of the lucky ones. I feel especially compelled to let tell people that are struggling with weight about my experience. I don't tell random people I haven't seen in a while about my procedure because it isn't worth it. Ultimately this is the BEST decision I have made for myself and I am to busy loving the results to care what anyone thinks. Best of luck to you!
