Good luck on your goal! I made my first goal since surgery... to be under 275... by my birthday (May 3rd) I want to be down 25 more pounds... it may be a lofty goal... but I sure am gonna try!!

I was on my pre-op liquid diet at Thanksgiving and post-op purees during Christmas...so I feel your pain... lol
-
was sleeved Wednesday 12/5... went back 12/12...lite duty...

hmmm didn't think about doing a salad bar... I've not gone out to eat yet... still a little fearful of the pressure...

this is very eye opening! I've lost the weight of a normal toddler! I have a 4 yr old grandson who is too heavy to carry around... and to think, I had been carrying that same amount of weight and more for over 20 years! EYE OPENING!!!
Thanks for bringing a new perspective...

great progress!

mindlessly putting stuff in your mouth... yeah... I've made that mistake! my youngest and I were at Wendy's and he had a carbonated drink... I was talking and picked up his cup ( something I used to do before surgery) and took a sip... pain under the breast bone... ugh! It felt like I needed to burp but couldn't... hopefully I won't make this mistake again...

Yep. And it's a lot more than head hunger. My stomach often feels empty and achy only an hour or so after I eat now. It's kind of a gnawing feeling. This only started around 6 weeks out but seems worse each day. I don't know if its acid but I chose not to discontinue my Prevacid because of it. I really don't like it at all. I miss that first month with no hunger.
THIS ^^^ is what I am experiencing... I figured it was my new sensation of hunger... its the weirdest feeling!
-
At six weeks, I was barely able to get a half cup of food down...I was still using my med cups they gave me in the hospital... I could get down 3 of them...so 6 tablespoons... I dunno...
-
yes... PLEASE give yourself ALOT of credit... you're doing fine!

Hey there! I was sleeved 12/5 and have only lost over 30 lbs post surgery... I just broke my 2nd stall this week by upping my calories, Protein and liquids... I walk most days... about 30 minutes...I think weighing more than twice a week can serve to be very discouraging when the numbers don't move... in my case, I went up 2 lbs before I went down...You'll lose... your body will adjust... and you'll lose again... take heart! You're doing fine!

you are hilarious! LOL

stall broken!!! I dropped 6.2 lbs !!! I have exceeded my V-Day goal!!!
Pre-surgery 304.5
1st V-Day goal 275
Current 272
New V-Day goal 265
-
nope... no vomiting here... almost 2 months out...
-
waiting, too! maybe I can get some pointers as to what I can eat to break these dreaded stalls...
-
You can do it don't get discouraged!
I've actually gained 2 lbs and the scale hasn't moved in days... this is frustrating!! any advice?
-
I'm a 12/5 sleever and I lost quickly... hit a stall... gained 2 lbs... then lost 4... gained 2 of them back and the scale hasn't moved in almost 2 weeks... Maybe I should try and up my calories for a few days...just to make sure my body knows it isn't being starved... I am managing to get in 700-800 cals and but I keep coming in shy of 60 grams of Protein ...
I sometimes think about giving up but... I've had surgery... give up how? it is what it is... and I am going to make the best of it...
-
OMG... please know that it WILL change... but be careful that you're staying hydrated... but enjoy the go... because sometimes, I can't...unassisted... I know, TMI!! I am 7 wks out and things have truly changed... trying to find a balance at this point...
-
I think we all think the same thing as soon as we hit a stall... my first stall... I actually gained 2 lbs! I thought... OMG! Not even surgery will work for me! but after 6 days, I saw a change on the scale... and in my clothes... just know that it gets better...
-
sounds like you may be lactose intolerant... check and see if the shakes have dairy in them and if so, try shakes without to see if that makes a difference... I am lactose intolerant so I know your pain...
-
if at all possible, move your body! take a short walk... dance around the house... do something! not only did that help relieve some of my pain, it lightened my mood...
hope this helps...
