    Depressed after dr visit

From a medical point of view it's important to know you have a history of obesity, regardless of current weight. The diameter of your veins is larger, and you are more likely to have joint damage etc. Plus abdominal surgery can cause internal scarring adhesions etc.
  2. It's to do with the surface tension of the plain water. Adding a little cordial should help. I still have trouble with water nausea 4 years post op. Sent from my HTC U11 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Anyone from Canada?

Perhaps because you didn't ask him? PS. I'd advise you to rein in the attitude. There's plenty of support here for polite posters.

    Have you been eating beetroot?

Over 400Lbs Gastric Sleeve Success Story

My surgeon suggested bypass, but having done my own research I chose the sleeve. It's a joint decision between their medical expertise and your personal desire. You'll be living with the effects for the rest of your life, not them.

    fresh juice

You might find tomato juice to be too acidic.

Has anyone lost weight without exercise

I haven't done any formal exercise in the last year. I will begin soon, to improve my general health and fitness, but it doesn't seem to have affected my weight loss.
  8. Does it have iron in it? That's likely to be the culprit. Taking multivitamins and minerals on an empty stomach were the only things that made me vomit in my first year.

    Does anybody eat bread?

One slice of toast and marmite and I am pleasantly full. Not one more bite, though, or it is extremely uncomfortable!

    Drinking water and throwing up

It's to do with the surface tension of plain water - it's common for people to have difficulty with it. Try adding some fruit flavour cordial to combat the water nausea.
  11. 372lbs and was only heading higher. Big difference in a year!

    Overeating before surgery

A year post op and there is no food I can't eat. It's all in the quantity.

    Zoloft?

I have been on 200mg daily of Zoloft for the past several years. They worked well for me, but since my sleeve I stopped taking them due to nausea issues. It's been a year and I may look at resuming them soon. It wasn't horrendous coming off them. Don't take them on an empty stomach!

What has your surgical team advised you?

    Continued loss after one year?

I've just passed my one year anniversary and I'm still losing weight. Much slower, of course, but in a controlled fashion. I see no reason why this won't continue for as long as I choose.
