    I'm so hungry! 7 weeks post-op

At two months I was consuming between 500-700 calories. At my three month check up, my NUT raised me to 1000 calories, but I generally don't make it to that. I usually take in between 800-900 calories.

    I'm so hungry! 7 weeks post-op

Well, sad to say, I am six months and yes, I get hungry too. Some are lucky and they say they don't get hungry, but I guess I am not a lucky one PPI's don't help it with me either. I just have to fight the good fight Good luck
  3. My NUT is like 5'7 and 120 pounds. She is skinny skinny skinny. I like her, she is very good and understanding. She is full of great recipe suggestions as well.

    Tmi sorry but need help

My guide says that Imodium is okay to take. Hope you feel better! If it doesn't get better within a day or two, I would call your doctor though.
  6. I know! Yesterday I had lunch with a co-worker who is maybe 170 or so. But for lunch she had a cup of chicken salad with 10 saltines, a hard boiled egg and a whole orange. While I enjoyed my grilled chicken strip that I made and a quarter cup of diced carrots and peas. It was an eye opener. before I would of had what she had, probably plus more!
  7. Though I have had bread or crackers only a couple of times in six months, carbs in moderation are fine on my plan. Good for you that you are following what works for you. I have lost over 90 pounds in six months, so I ( and my doctor and NUT) don't think some bread or carbs is going to hurt me. Moderation is key. If you don't touch it because of your plan, that is great. I see more and more people that seem to be very preachy about their diet compared with someone else's. Do what works for you.

    Fever and a Hot Arm?

Agree with call the doctor asap. Could even be a blood clot. Hope all gets better!
  9. Yes, it is extremely important. I know what you're going through. I had several horrible constipation moments while newly post op. Once you can incorporate more foods and fiber, you will have a better time. I know I haven't had a problem with constipation for a long time now. Good luck
  10. Yah, I am used to it now lol Good luck to you!
  11. I started with one a week for two months, and still have to go once a month until my levels get up to normal. It all depends on how low you are.
  12. I know not many people here are in need of clothes that large, but I have 12+ garbage bags of cute cute cute clothes. I don't know if I should just donate it or try a consignment store. I do need $, but don't know if all the work will be worth it if no one is going to buy/need it. Anyone here interested in buying come clothes? Let me know what you're looking for and I'll shoot some pics of what I have. Chances are, I have it lol
  13. I have to have iron infusions because pills don't help enough for me. Do you have a ppo? I do and was able to make an an appointment directly with a hematologist and he is the one that does the infusions because my hemo was 9 and my iron sat wad 4. My pcp would still have me on pills and be terribly low still. You might have to take it in your own hands. Good luck!

    I am freaking out!

My mother had gastric bypass three months before I had the sleeve, so I know what you're going through. I was seconding guessing it as well when I saw her struggling, but I still kept plugging along because I knew this was my last option. I tried everything else I could with no success. I am so glad that I stuck with it. I have had no issues and I am extremely happy with my decision. Good luck to you!
  20. Two thumbs up! I will definitely check out your blog. I love recipes like this Thanks!
  21. Almost 6 months out. Between 800-1000 calories a day, lowish carbs (under 50)

    New Quest Bar

I haven't tried that one yet. I just picked up a bunch tonight. With the buy 3 get one free and a $10 off of $20 coupon, I got 9 bars for around $11. I was pretty stoked lol
  23. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I didn't have too bad pain. There was several days of discomfort, but pain, no. As a matter of fact, the only times I took my pain pills were to help me sleep because I couldn't sleep well because I am a stomach sleeper and couldn't sleep on my tummy.
