I need a pal.... I am not much fun....... maybe but I am 29 going on 30 in June..... Bithday is June 2oth (fathers day) I lie about my age from time to time..... i go to scool wiht young folks out of high school...I like ceramics and ...and.... thats about all i guess... I am a pretty boring person....I like to talk about just about anything... did i already say i needed a friend,..... LOL I am in Albuquerque New Mexico... I had Lapband surgery in April 2005 in Colorado..... and travel there a lot.... thats me... all bundled into one... LOL

That is how my Dr's office is.... its off by 4-5 pounds.... UGH!!!!! anyway I go by MY weight scale.... if I weight myself at all... I hate that thing... I think that Dr's offices up the scales a few just to make you feel bad LOL..... who knows

I started out at 341lbs.... and even thought I have had some problems I have lost over 50lbs and I couldnt be happier....

Thats such a pretty tattoo... oh and btw sorry its late but.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!

Wow this thread is getting A LOT of attention... I wish some threads with posts about real band problems (small or big) would get JUST as much attention..... thats my 2 cents in a nutshell!

Here is my story, after surgery on April 28, 2005 I asked my Dr. what size of band I had, He looked in my folder and said "It says you have a 11cc (VGB), but I know I put in a 10cc band" Okay from what I know this is a big difference. Now I am a bit confused on how to find out what band I really have. I have a picture of my band around my stomach, will I be able to tell from that? Or should I get my serial number and find out through Lap Band company? And who would I contact? I have never felt real restriction and I think that's why I have not been able to lose the weight. So what do you all think I should do? Thanks for your help.

when you actually get it done its not that bad at all.. read more post you will see that most people dont have a problem with the eating plan. Good Luck with everything. And Welcome to LBT

No He is letting me get more fills I have a appointment March 10th. I just wish I knew about this a long time ago, I would probably of lost more weight, with a tighter fill... I guess before I wasnt sure or what to look for in restriction.. now I do and at 2cc I can eat just about Normal.. Or more then Normal... (Hurry march 10th) lol

thanks everyone for your help. I think I know why now I have never had restriction. I have a 2cc fill and from what I know the VGB needs more then 2cc.... I am still going to get to the bottom of which band I have.. but I know for sure he said 10cc not 10cm... so yeah 10cc and 11cc is not much of a diffrence and they both are VGB so I will get it fixed now.... thanks again!

Oh im glad everything went fine! Yeah its a good idea to be very careful with your eating... I have NO restriction at all and I still get stuck sometimes when Im not careful. Now Go and Lose Some Weight!!! LOL

I cant say if you slipped or not, but I think you should call your Dr. and let him know. I know you have an appointment with him but i wuld give him a call anyway, he might want to see you sooner. Good Luck with everything and Let us know what happens. Take Care

I use just regular cocobutter lotion. I was thinking of using Vitamin E on my scars but I like the Tea Tree Oil idea from Pam... I have to look into that. My scares are really really bad.

:help: I have been having this really tight feeling in my throat, NOT my chest but right above on my lower throat part. I have NO restriction at all, I can eat like a normal person, maybe even more... Sometimes it is tighter then other times, when it gets really really tight my saliva glands go crazy, and it hurts really bad. I have had heart burn in the past but since the band I have not had any symptoms. I dont know if this is Acid Reflux I am feeling (was told heart burn and acid reflux are diffrent).. What are your ideas on it??? Should I call my Dr.? Thanks for your help

OMG Susan!!! That cracked me up... but I guess it does kinda sound that way huh LOL oh that is so funny!! I would think it would have gotten more hits! Anyway I will be calling my Dr tomorrow, hopefully he wont be to busy, just coming back to the office... we will see
