  1. Gorgeous and more importantly you look happy!!!! Congrats!!
  2. Concentrate on eating the things you can tolerate and on good days when you're well hydrated try something new. Just make sure you do very small bites and let it sit for a bit. If it stays put....try a little more. It does get easier. I promise you. I am 8 months out and can eat just about everything. Some things make me feel yucky so I stay away from them. Just take it slow, don't compare yourself to anyone and do whatever works for you. Hang in there!! Xoxo
  3. Woot-woot!!! Looking super good!! I just got into single digit size (8) and it feels SOOOOO good. I remember reading others posts when I first had surgery and praying I would get here. I'm such a happy girl and I'm sure you are too!!! CONGRATS
  4. Rock on with your bad (and skinny) self. You look AMAZING
  5. Congrats to you!! Thank you!! As far as advice, I guess just don't over think it. The weight will come off. I don't restrict anything from my diet. I did this because I was tired of food controlling my life so the last thing I was going to do was make food the center of my life as a result of my sleeve. I eat when I'm hungry, I take my Vitamins and I don't always make the best decisions but I'm losing and I'm happy. I think everyone has to do what's best for them. I hate when people try tell you all the "sleeve rules" We're not perfect and if we were we wouldn't have to have the sleeve surgery. I do get on the scale almost daily. For me it's accountability. If I see that I'm gaining a bit I restrict myself a little more but refuse to live my life on a diet. I wouldn't change a thing. Good luck to you. I would love to follow your journey. Your are moments from being the you that you deserve to be!
  6. That is so incredibly sweet. I'm pretty proud of myself. Anybody that says this is the "easy way" has no idea. Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement.
  7. Hang in there. I had several "what in the hell did I do" moments. Today I am down 90 lbs. I've figured out how much and what I can and can't tolerate. If I want to eat something.....I eat it. I just don't let food control me. I see food in a whole different light now. I am so thankful and while I'll never eat a Thanksgiving dinner with 3 extra helpings and pie, I realize that is just ONE DAY! I get to see my reflection in the mirror EVERY day and I wouldn't trade that feeling for ANY meal.
  8. My before and after. I'm super excited. Thanks for letting me share. 90 lbs gone. Surgery 12/13
  9. I wanted to share my before and after. Sleeves 12-13-12. 90 down
  10. Thank you!! I can't get over how AMAZING this journey has been. I would do this over and over and over. So blessed. Here's a before if you're curious.
  11. December 2012 surgery. Starting weigh 246. Current weight 157.
  12. 90 pounds gone forever!! I'm so happy!!!
  13. I am almost 6 months out and really started noticing hair loss about a month ago. I got Bosleys shampoo and conditioner for viably thinning hair and rogaine for woman and my hair feels way thicker. I still notice some hair loss but NOTHING like I was seeing before.
  14. How far out are you? I'm gonna make an appt tomorrow. I have bruises covering my entire body, even my chest!! It's kinda scary.
  15. Well that's pretty scary. I think I'll make a doctors appt. thank you
  16. Ok, fellow sleevers. I am 5 months out, 80 lbs gone and I am covered in bruises. I have NO idea why. I never bruised easily prior to my sleeve. I look line an abused wife. Lol
  17. Proudgrammy you always say the sweetest things. Thank you for always inspiring us. Xoxo
  18. I walk by mirrors and store windows and do a double take all the time. I look at recent pictures and am simply puzzled. Who is that girl? I see a petite blonde but in my mind I'm still that 250 lb Insecure girl. Anyone else having a hard time realizing their success? It's a crazy mind game.
  19. I'm only 4' 11 & 1/2" so I think I should be no bigger than a 7.
  20. I buy the Costco box of 5 hours. It's not much to drink and gives me a boost
  21. Forgive yourself. I don't think your stomach is back to your pre-surgery size. Courage is that little voice inside you that says "I'll try again tomorrow" don't give up. You deserve this.
  22. Don't feel bad. I'm a size medium top and a size 12-14 bottom.
  23. Set your fork down in between bites and count how many times you chew. Sounds weird but I had to do it.
