Sure! How much have you lost?
-
I'm in San Antonio also! I was sleeved Jan 28. Who did you use? I used Dr Duperier. Glad I did it! How are both of y'all doing?
-
Has anyone tried meals from My Fit Foods? I picked up a couple today and am hoping they are good.
-
How is everyone feeling?
-
How long did it take for your incisions to heal up? I'm 8 days post-op and they itch.
-
That's the first thing I'm eating when I get to puréed/soft food stage!! And I can't wait! Lol! 2 more weeks. And ps...if you haven't been to south Texas, you haven't had good Mexican food. I could live off of it.....which is why I am now sleeved. Lol!

I just blended my choc premier shake with ice and its so good! Just like a milkshake. I also read if you throw a tsp of Peanut Butter and a tsp of butterscotch instant (sugar free) pudding mix in with it that it's tastes like butterfinger! I'm so doing that tomorrow.
Also, I am going to make a batch and freeze it so it will be like my ice cream.
It's amazing how much I'm enjoying them after that clear liquid diet. Lol.

You look AWESOME!!!! Congrats!

Hope you feel better! I felt super dizzy today after my walk. Could have been my hot shower or something but I felt like I was going to pass out. I've had a headache all day too. One day at a time though!
Is anyone wearing Spanx instead of their binder? I am testing it out today and I hope it's not too tight on my incisions. I wonder how long until the incisions are healed? Any input is appreciated.
Tomorrow starts my full liquid diet. I can't tell you how excited I am!! Finally a little flavor!!! Woohoo!
Hope y'all are doing well!!

Great post Frank! I'm only 4 days out (surgery 1/29) and am so ready to be back at work and the gym. But I'm being patient. Lol! Thanks for posting your story...with all the negative stories on here I had a total meltdown the night before my surgery. It's nice to hear the positives! Keep up the good work!
PS--Chicago is my favorite city to travel to! It's amazing. I had a friend that lived on State and Superior for several years and it was a blast!

How's everyone feeling? Sip, sip, sip. I'm kinda bored honestly. I'm not one to sit around and rest but I'm trying to do what's best. Went for a few walks today but I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. Hope y'all are doing well!

Good! I'm working on liquids as we speak. I can't have Protein Shakes till week 2. But I am looking forward to some Jello later.
-
Jennifer, I had a hernia repaired too. Nurses said it would take a good week or so to get rid of all the gas. Could be both I guess. Are you getting your liquids in? Today's the first day I'll be tracking it.

It helps a lot with getting up and down from the bed. Funny that I woke up at the exact time my painkillers are due. My tummy is rumbling away. Assuming its thirsty?! And recovering?
-
Hospital provided the binder. I woke up with it on. Keeps your stomach in and puts pressure on the incisions. It feels good to me. I'm sure you could purchase them at a medical supply store but ask you doc if he uses them....the one thing I've learned from this blog is every doc is different! Some are drastically different!
-
Nice! I'm going to wait a few days since I had so many fluids pumped in. I feel weird without my binder now! I actually may replace my binder w/ spankx when I go back to work.
-
Y'all are hilarious!
-
Hey girls. I think I'm over the gas pains but 2 of my incisions still hurt. They are just tender and since I have a cold it hurts to cough. They are bruised pretty good but the bruises aren't huge. I don't even want to get on the scale yet. Lol! Are y'all wearing a binder around your stomach? I think it helps. I'm just sip sip sippin on Water right now.
-
Feeling good! Just got released and headed home to my own bed. How did your leak test go? I'm surprised they didn't do that while u were still under anesthesia.
How are you feeling?
-

Well everyone....I guess I can say omg its my time tomorrow. Yes oh yes I am nervous...my stomach is killing me(IBS)...I have a real bad headache' date=' I have so much to do around the house, glad I took off work today. From now until midnight, I can only drink clear liquids. I have to wake up early and get on the highway to travel to my surgery hospital...3hours away..so with that being said, no sleep for me tonight..lol..I will definitely keep everyone posted about my recovery. I will be getting the spider technique with 1incision..lets see how this will work out...good luck to all Sleevers, past and recent and those that go in tomorrow like myself.[/quote']Good luck! I felt that way too but it will be over soon. I didn't sleep at all the night before so you might as well stay busy. are you going to the hosp by yourself? Def keep us posted! I'll be heading home tomorrow but will check on your replies. Not sure what the spider technique is but sounds cool only having one incision. I have 7 and it was done robotically. Every Dr is different! Stay positive and you will do great!

Thanks Annie B..you're sweet!amytug..sorry I forgot my tickler has been removed and I never put a new one up. I was 220 lbs(probably heavier at times)..now 133 to 137..I teeter back a forth! I wore a size 18' date=' but it was tight... probably needed a 20 but wouldn't buy it. I now wear a 4 or 6 depending on what it is. I was taking 3 pills for blood pressure, ambien to sleep, lipitor, wellbutrin, prevacid and tums all day long! Now I take nothing except for my Vitamins of course! Before I couldn't put my shoes on without being out of breath, now I can run a 5k in about 27 mins! Life is good [/quote']
You look amazing!!!! Congrats!!! I had my sleeve done yesterday so I'm still in the hosp. Same beginning weight. Hope to get down to a 8 at least. How long did it take u to get to your final weight?
-
Well' date=' the day is upon me!! I actually sleep pretty good.[/quote']Good luck girl!! You will do great! Stay relaxed, you are at the easiest part. Mine was yesterday and I'm feeling pretty good. I've slept more after the surgery than the night before. Lol.

The past couple days I've been getting these stomach cramps that come and go. I don't think I ate anything bad and haven't changed my routine up any. Anyone experience stomach pains/cramps?
