Thanks everyone. I knew I had a distorted image of myself, but I didn't think it was THAT distorted! Cajunlady, my wife was the first one to start telling me I needed to stop, but she never said I looked older. In fact, we were 'intimate' the other night (for the first time in a couple years, but that's a whole other story!), and she said that it weirded her out because she felt like she was with a 12 year old boy because there was nothing to hold onto! TMI, I know, but I thought it was funny. Bluto, that does make sense. It has been a big change in such a short period of time for the people around me also, so their image of me needs to change as much as my image of myself needs to change.

Congratulations! You look healthy. Remember that some of the people around you have an image of what you are "supposed" to look like burned into their brain as well. Screw em, the only person whose option should matter is your wife... she's the one that's gotta look at you naked.
Be proud, brother! I'm looking forward to having that problem :-)

Dresses on men are kind of frowned upon in most areas of Georgia so unfortunately I will have to stick with pants .... but good advice for the ladies

I tossed mine ~ right over the banistger. I made a thing of it. I had my family sit on the bed and I said does this go or stay. GO! they would say and I woul throw it over the banister and in my head it was gone forever.
I gave all the bags and shoes to a lady at work and she was grateful. It's gone !
Now I have 3 things to wear, And when you do need clothing buy dresses you can put belts on and they last alot longer than pants!

Toss it! I've done the same as you. I packed up all my skinny clothes and passed them to my aunt, who had DS surgery 18 mos ago, and she passed them back to me when they became too big for her. Now, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel. Most of my skinny clothes are too big. As I shrink out of my clothes, I've been packing up my nicer things for donation to YWCA's Working Wardrobe program, meant to help disadvantaged women build their closets to prepare to go to work. It makes me feel good about getting rid of it all.

I'm so glad you posted about this, because I too have wondered if will have the faith and conviction this time to GET RID of the bigger sizes, and believe that this time, this time I won't need them again.

TOSS THE BOX!!! I had the same problem. It is still hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that I have gotten rid of clothes that were too big that used to be my 'I'll get into those someday" clothes. I am almost through all of those and am fixing to be in uncharted waters, or at least I haven't been in them in years. You won't need them again. Ever. Get rid of them and make some room for the new stuff that will be finding it's way in!

But what if our dreams are reality and it's our waking life that is the dream? If that's the case, then not only am I back at my highest weight, my teeth have fallen out more times than I can count. And I should really put some clothes on before that algebra test starts.

This would have worked as well considering the typical teenager. Actually it works on most adults too.
