    Miserable

I thought I made a HUGE mistake and I wasn't even pain. But once the liquid phase passed and I started eating again it slowly got better. I've even ventured to restaurants again (I look up everything first to see nutrition) and it feels good. Once the weight starts coming off and the eating resumes the feeling of sadness left. I had several moments of crying that stemmed from pure frustration, regret, anger ... you name it I felt it!

    MY HAIR IS FALLING OUT!

Mine was falling out but it seems to be slowing down. I average about 80 g protein a day. I haven't taken the supplements listed above but if it helps it's worth a shot!

    Protein panic attack

Try mixing with milk and ice (in a blender) and make a smoothie out of it. You can also look up recipes on making your own. Mine this morning was 1/2 tsp instant espresso, 2 tsp nonsweetened cocoa, scoop Protein powder (matrix milk chocolate), 6 oz milk, and 3 ice cubes. Another one is 1 tsp pb, 1/4 c. frozen banana, 6 oz milk, 3 ice cubes, 1 scoop protein powder, or I have done unsweetened frozen strawberries (1/4 c.), milk, protein powder, ice, etc ...... I like making my own vs just mixing them straight up. I can imagine they are pretty nasty with Water but to each their own! Also, try some Soups for your protein. The lowfat cream of chicken Soup (strained and mixed with milk) with a tbsp of nonfat dry milk (for extra protein) is super yummy.

    no weight loss!

When I retain at all my right ankle always swells and it hurts. It will pass but it might take some time. Hang in there! I tried to walk around every 30-45 mins to decrease the swelling. Unfortunately, there was only so much I could do. Swollen feet are the pits! I wasn't nearly as swollen as after my csections, though. I was very thankful for that.

    No coffee?Whaaaa?

My NUT told me 64 oz of non-carbonated, caffeine free liquid a day. So if I listen to her then I just don't have room to get in caffeine LOL I made the switch to decaff with no creamer .... It stinks but I'm getting use to it.

    Major rash

I took my kiddo to doc today so I asked her about my arms since it was flaring up again (RN from bariatric clinic thought it was a soy allergy). She said it was a burn She asked what medicine I was on and I told her and she said the Omeprazole is the culprit! So I called the clinic back and told them what she said and the RN had no idea that the meds could react to the sun that way. She'll be talking to the doc and calling me on Monday about it. *Obviously no blood work done but she did rule out it being a "rash" or "hives"

    Gallstones and..sad

Liver enzymes are probably from the gallstones. Chances are high you'll have it removed at same time as surgery.

Welcome! I hope it's the best decision ever!
  15. No I didn't, sorry. Please call the hospital or your doctor and tell them what's going on. I hope you feel better soon!

    Major rash

Nurse thinks it's a soy allergy which I didn't have before. I took some benadryl and the itching went down immediately and the redness went down. Turns out it wasn't a rash but hives.

    Low carb rash

OH! That makes total sense. I was in the sun yesterday! I wonder if the medication is a reaction! Spoke to my RN from the bariatric clinic and she doesn't think it's the medicine for me as I would have had a reaction a long time ago and it would be on more than just my arms. So we talked about the only thing that was different yesterday and I had an Atkins bar and I haven't had any soy products since surgery. She said it could be, that after surgery, I'm unmasking a soy allergy. Who knows

    weight gained back

I can't eat more than a 1/2 cup at 10 weeks and my goal is to stay that way but even in my papers it says eventually I will be able to consume up to 8 oz. Still, it's not nearly as much as I could before. I'm taking a guess that it's high calorie overeating or always snacking.

    Negative Comments.....

What wonderful children you have! You should give yourself a big hug and look at all of your accomplishments in life and with weight loss. If you want to lose more my advice is start over like in the early ages to get back in that mind frame

    Major rash

Yes! It is allergic looking but I have no idea what from. The only thing I had differently yesterday was an Atkins bar.

    Low carb rash

So I had surgery 10 weeks ago and all of a sudden I have a very itchy rash all over my arms. It looks disgusting.

    Major rash

I have a rash that popped up all over my arms. It itches like crazy! Not sure if it's the same sort of thing. Did yours clear up? I'll probably be headed to the doc tomorrow.

    POP?!

Oh well I have no idea then LOL Maybe that was their way of instilling fear in me
  24. Watch it carefully! You don't want an infection to start on the inside :-( I'm surprised they weren't more pro-active with it.
