    All of my December sleevers...

The number one thing I have made sure to do is WALK everyday! Today I did 3.56miles. I am finding I am super hungry (probably due to high calorie burn). I am doing three shakes a day and get to start weight training tomorrow (2wks post-op, only allowed to loft up to 25lbs for next month). I am also doing creamy Soups (strained). And K2O Water Protein mixes. I am trying to keep the weight loss momentum moving forward (praying for no stalls!). You will get there! Just takes focus and movement. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using VST

  5. My surgeon told me that if I swayed from my liquid diet (sleeved 12/20) I ran the risk of food particles getting stuck in my unhealed staples in sleeve. This could lead to a leak or mass infection. If this were the case I would have to be reopened and be on a feeding tube for TWO months. That was enough to scare me into compliance. We are all food addicts to some degree, as recommended by others you should reach out to your surgeon asap. There are too many risk factors involved. Hope nothing bad happens, and appreciate your honesty. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Take the picture!! Believe you me the still shot will shock you. Just remember you are seeing yourself everyday, and your brain has to play catch up. By taking the photo - it will!!

    Surgery is TOMORROW!

Good luck!! Best decision I have ever made!!
  8. I have been doing really well. Down 30lbs!! At my post-op appointment I asked the doctor if he really did the sleeve because I felt great! He did a swallow picture and sure enough he did what he said. I have been battling weight issues for a decade now since having to endure fertility treatments to conceive. Earlier this year I had a hysterectomy and my weight spiraled to an all time high of 294 lbs. As a former athlete, this level of discomfort when putting on shoes, and not having clothes to wear made me isolate myself and reject invites out to functions. I hit rock bottom! Being overweight took over my life. I wept like a baby when I met with my surgeon, and he reassured me my life was about to change for the best. He was/is so right!! I am well on my way to the fit Mom/athlete, and I look forward to transforming my life!

    Post op exercise

Week three of post surgery you can begin lifting weights up to 25lbs. At week six post op you are released (by doc) to full activities. Hope this helps. This is info given to me by my surgeon. Always check with your surgeon first.
