  8. I'm 3 weeks out & still feel that discomfort/pulling pain on right mid quadrant area. No need for pain med buy its there. Had to call in this Monday due to severe excruciating pain. Called doc said it sounded muscular/incisional, advised to take pain med, apply heat, & rest. All better by Tuesday! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  9. My favorite spice was adding cirracha aka Rooster Sauce to just about anything! 3 weeks post op now & wondering when it's safe to try my spicy sauce again. Any unusual experiences with spice out there? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  10. You probably need to drink more Water and do deep breathing exercises. Did u bring your incentive spirometer home from hosp? Either way do them ten times every hour while awake. Also walk around your home. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  11. RN. Sleeved Jan 9, 2013. Back to work 14 days post op, this Wed! I think it was enough. Body's sore (back mainly) but its because I did nothing but sleep during recovery @ home. I work 12 hr shifts 3Xwk. It's a task to remind yourself to drink water & eat every 2-3hrs, but it's definitely doable! For some reason I got my menses a whole week early too :/ not cool.
  12. Wow just read this entire thread! What an awesome story! By now you're probably holding your baby girl. Congrats & happy new year!

  15. Understand that that everyone's experience is always going to be different. I'm 5 days post op & this right side mid quadrant pain is persistent still. Feels like I was stabbed. I was in a way though! This to me is worse than delivering my 9# vaginally and my 7# via c-section. Still needing my narcotics twice a day. But I have faith that this too shall pass!
