  1. There is a wiseman that lurkes this site, his name is PDX man. In his immortal words "We are a dysfunctional family, but a family nontheless. And from the immortal words of Don Cornelius "Love Peace and Soul"
  2. This is a public forum where ALL of us are allowed to express our feelings. When quesions or statements are posed, you can not then to expect people to echo or attagirl with you. if you only want to hear your own views echoed, there are personal journals for that.
  3. Your Obesity led you to this site, please try not to be so condescending it turns people off. I don't think if you stood next to a fit 115 lbs person, lightweight would not be a word used to describe you.

    what happens at pre op?

I mean while you are in the hospital, immediately post operative. I also had breast augmentation at an out-patient facility, it was easy peasy. When I got home after the sleeve surgery I took medication 2 times and that was it. The first day however was a different story. You probably have a higher pain tolerance than I do, you're braver than me girl!!

Have you had surgery before without narcotics?

    what happens at pre op?

No you're fine, dilaudid is the strongest narcotic on the market, most of my patients beg for it. It's just way too strong for me.

    what happens at pre op?

Yes the anesthesiologist was great with the nausea meds, it was the dilaudid that killed me. I haven't weighed myself this week yet, but last time I weighed I lost 23lbs.
  19. This is a public forum.
  20. I can't either, but as Pdx predicted this thread has blown up!
  21. Snif snif snif, I smell popcorn.
  22. It's a common misperception that posters believe everyone is going to parrot or mirror what you want them to. Us sleever's are passionate about this tool that we have been given. Often we see the same posters over and over again, looking for ways to sneak unhealthy foods or not treat themselves well. Sometimes this passion comes in the form of tough love, everyone is not going to live in an echo chamber and assist in giving what they see as unhealthy advice. However there are plenty that do.
  23. PdxMan I must say I have read soooooo many of your posts, and I appreciate the advice you give. You have never appeared in my opinion to be judgmental, just forthright. Just incase you wont hear it again today, gee whiz I think you're great!! Don't quit doing what you do.

    Any March Sleevers?

    Any March Sleevers?

I can only imagine the change from lap to sleeve. I also felt hungry during that first week out, they call it head hunger but it feels oh so real. Are you taking Prilosec or Protonix or Nexium, they will help with the acid stomach. Once you move to full liquids and more dense proteins, the hungry feeling will go away. I now have to force myself every two hours to eat or I wont, I no longer have an appetite. I went from feeling so hungry to a point where nothing seems good at all. This is really hard work! I was in a dream land thinking this would be soooo easy, boy was I wrong. This is just a small bump things will get better, well wishes to you
