Hi Everyone and congrats on all the weight loss. Here's my question... what are you all eating? I'm 3 weeks out' date=' on pureed foods, my menu consists basically of not much. I lack creativity for sure. LolS) cottage cheese
S) strawberry core power (sometimes)
I eat sf Jello & pudding, cottage cheese, sf Popsicles,
I've lost 30 # total, since pre-op, I'm kind of discouraged cuz I see others that have lost a lot more. AND I think I've hit a dang stall! beside having no energy. And am tired a lot.[/quote']
It's sooo hard when you want to get in as much protein and liquids as you can for your body to have energy but you just can't! I just started puréed and am also 3 weeks out--- my goal is to eat more than drink but I just can't make my stomach cooperate! So it's mostly just shakes and Water with a few ounces of food a day! Hang in there--- I pray our energy will increase once our calories and intake increase.

Ok my friends, I got the clear on clots and leaks!!! Still not sure why I'm having pain but I'm happy to hear the good news!! Thank you for your prayers, happy thoughts and well wishes

Need your prayers--- at the ER to run tests. Left shoulder and rib area pain when taking deep breaths. Nothing really painful, just different. If I've learned nothing from this site, it's listen to your body....so thus I am;).

Okay' date=' thank you. I know this seems a bit crazy, but how do you measure the amount of Protein powder for a bottle as opposed to a shake. Or how much would you suggest to use for the Crystal Light? I mix my Crystal Light right in the bottle the Water comes in. I have not used my Blender Bottle or Camelback since surgery. I think the size intimidates me, so I keep it manageable with the 16 oz.[/quote']
I use 1 scoop of protein powder per 8oz of water. I use the bottles (like the pic I showed) so I have control over the amount of it all, because I too get a bit intimidated by the quantities I have to drink. Maybe try half a bottle of water, with one scoop of protein and then add half a packet of crystal light. Good luck

Are you saying mix the Unflavored into Crystal Light? What about diluted juice? I'm afraid it won't mix well in the colder Water or juice. Hmmmm...possibly' date=' I could make the crystal light in room temperature and refrigerate. What a light bulb moment! LOL[/quote']
Unflavored powder with water and crystal light have been my saving grace. I prefer the bottles like this so I can control how sweet it is. (Just make sure you mix the water and powder before you add flavoring- or else mine clumped).

Had my two week post-op followup. By their scale' date=' I'm down 27lbs in the past month (we didn't have a liquid only pre-op diet, just small tv dinner size portions under 400 cal, which I think I lost 12 of those pounds on). I'm thrilled! He advanced my diet to the next stage of soft/puree. He said for the next month, I can eat anything, but it absolutely has to be applesauce consistency. My husband took me to Bob Evans, where he ordered the all you can eat chocolate chip pancakes, 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs, and hash browns loaded with cheese, bacon, chives, and sour cream.
I ordered one fried egg, one turkey sausage, and it came with home fries and cherry bread. He ate the cherry bread and home fries. I slowly ate half my egg and 2 bites of the sausage, chewed to the applesauce consistency. Stuffed. I feel like I either ate too much or ate too quickly. It was delicious, but on my last bite I got a tiny pain tingle in my chest, and then felt like food is all the way up to my throat.
I wish I could tell to stop before that point.

I went for my 2 week yesterday, and was PRAYING my doc would advance me to puréed stage--but no luck! I have one more week! But- down 38 lbs (including pre-op), so I'm trying to let that motivated me.

I thought I was supposed to consume 1200? Am I way off?
My doc wants me up to that as soon as possible, but I hear others that only maintain 800 for the long run... Every doc is so different.

I had the same thing happen to me. I was sleeved on 2/19 and on the 10th day post op' date=' i stopped loosing. It lasted 8 long days and then started again. I lost 9 in the first 10 days. Dont let it worry u![/quote']
I'm having the same issue, 10 first week, 1 second week... Glad to know I'm not alone;)

Hi ladies--- I'm 10 days post op, and I've noticed that if I try to wear an underwire bra I get a strange indigestion kind if pressure. Let me just say--- I need an underwire. The tatas are not so fluffy since I've dropped 40lbs;(. Will this last forever or am I just moving too fast?
Appreciate your thoughts,
Sara
