    7 weeks post op

I am almost 4 months out and I still have that issue with plain water. I add "crush packets" to the water. These are sugar free and it is those packets like crystal light you add to water. It is like drinking crush soda. Wonderful I live on these things!
  4. Walmart sells salmon packets...there is about 3 oz's of salmon packed in its Liquid. Greek yogurt with no fruit in the beginning...... I was told to use nonfat Greek yogurt. I use sugar free jello to add flavor.
  5. It really depends on your type of work. everyone is different. most people it takes a few weeks at least to fill full strength. most people with desk job return in a few weeks. best wishes.

  9. There's a lot of swelling after surgery. So you feel full. I had to really focus to get in enough fluid. At home I used a kitchen timer. I set every 15 min. Your goal should be 1 oz every 15 min. in the beginning it's not easy. My surgeon said count all liquid going in. Even protein shakes counted. The goal is 64 oz of fluids daily. Trust me without that amount your plumbing won't work very well. Hope this helps.Best Wishes
  10. As long as you keep in mind these issues are "Her Issues" not yours. This is what I would do 1: confront her and tell her to stop that behavior. Or 2: pull away from her. If she values your friendship she will change. I too have a friend that needs to lose weight. She had a awful response when she realized I was going to do this surgery and I did not care if she liked it or not. I was not looking for her approval. Or anyone else's approval for that matter. She starting making comments .. Great now that you are going to lose weight I will be the " Fat" one. She refused to stop making those comments, so I pulled away. Who knows maybe one day when she is willing to deal with her issues she will come to you for help. However, in the meantime nobody needs such negativity in our lives. The people that think this surgery is the easy way or that we are cheaters have no idea what they are talking about. It is not the easy way out at all! It is work! A Whole new way of life... Lots of changes and they way we think.... The way we eat and live our lives. So no it is not the easy way out.... No it is not cheating. Sorry for rambling.... I hope this helps you get throughout this struggle! Best Wishes Tina
  11. So happy for you! You do deserve it! And maybe him finding out and having time to process your thoughts and this information was a good thing. The shock factor was not there. Awesome that you are in such a fantastic relationship! Best wishes to you!

why can't i do it myself...

Honestly most people who struggle with this battle of the pounds can lose weight. How many times Have a lot of us on this web site lost 100 lbs plus... Only for that weight return with more..... So the losing part is not the hard part for most of us....it is keeping it off. Well with this surgery not only will you lose your wieght you will have a built in portion control... So when it comes time to maintain the wieght loss it will be easier. This decision is not a easy one. However, if you do choose to have the surgery it will make life of much better quality! Best Wishes to you!

    Procedure choice

It seems most of us decided the sleeve was right for us for the same reasons... Basically the sleeve was the least complicated and seemed better living afterward. So far that is true!
