  1. Soooo bumped! I had my sleeve on January 2nd and only lost 30lbs so far.... It is over a month I don't loose anything. I think part of it is stress... all blood tests I did prior to the surgery and after the surgery showed a slight alteration on MCV. My primary care doctor decided to follow up and making a long story short now I am seeing a hematologist/oncologist because I might have cancer although the doctor thinks it is my thyroid... Please pray for me.
  2. Girls, you rock! I have been taking sythroid for 13 years now and it is pretty stable with synthroid. I always took my sythroid after breakfast and it worked. I was sleeved on Jan 2nd and now I stoped loosing weight. My thyroid really slow down and I am not felling well. I will try to take synthroid before I go to bed I hope this will take care of the problem. Thank you for all the good information your gave.
  3. I stopped loosing weight and my surgeon asked me to do blood work last week. It turned out that my thyroid that has been stable for the past 5 years slowed down. Now I am waiting for the docs to give me a new dosage. I am really sad! Did anybody have a problem like this?
  4. My surgery was done on January 2nd and I never did a leak test. My surgeon says that after surgery the stomach on the staple line is very sensitive, so in his opinion doind a leak test could stress the suture causing a leak.
  5. Hi, I was sleeved on Jan 2nd. First I got cold and Wednesday I started with diarrhea which made me be admitted to the hospital again because of dehydration. Now, I am back home. Please, don't forget to drink as much as you can because the last 3 days were not fun. Try to keep healthy!
  6. I am on pre-op diet taking those shakes but my nutricionist told me I could have one meal a day consisting of only proteins and vegetables. It is good to have this kind of break. It is funny this whole pre-op diet thing... my brother and my mother had the gastric bypass done and they didn't need to do the pre-op diet. I guess each doctor has his/her own protocol.
  7. My surgery is on the 2nd and my daughter have been sick since Saturday... I asked her pediatrician if she had any tip on how I could avoid getting sick and she told me to wash my hands everytime after I play with my daughter and don't let her cough on my mouth, noose or eyes. So far so good... I hope this tip helps you.
  8. I will have my VS on Jan 2nd and I told everybody I work with about. They have been very supportive. I think you would be surprised on how some people will support you on your journey that you never thought would care for you. As for the negative comments just ignore them if/when you decide to tell about your procedure.
  9. I had ileus (blockage of intestines) after my first c-section... I am wonderind if this means I can have it after VS and I am geting a little nervous about my surgery on the Jan 2nd...
  10. If you green card will not expire anytime soon you should be fine to re-enter US.
  11. I was looking at your profile and we share the same birthday! Soon we will share our rebirth as heathier and leaner people.
  12. January 2nd! I started the pre-op diet yesterday... I am very anxious!
