  1. My 5 +week checkup was quite frustrating. I had just broken my stall. I was happy. Preop I lost 30, post op 28 with 42 left to goal. My doctor said I must slow down to 2 lbs a month in order to prevent loose skin and hair loss. He said we loose weight for 18 months after surgery and that I would loose too much if I don't slow down. I would just like to loose the next 20, then slow down. I want to shop in regular sizes sooo bad. Any other doctors out there saying this? I don't see how just a couple of pounds is possible per month with the few calories we take in, even with the extra shakes he has me drinking. I emailed my NUT with no response. Frustrated!!

2LBS A MONTH? I'VE HEARD 10LBS A MONTH.....DEF TALK SOME MORE WITH YOUR DOC AND NUT

  2. Hey Sannah' date='

If you send me your email address I will email you a booklet that someone had once posted on here that has a TON of smoothie and Protein shake recipes.

I would attach it here but I dont know how. If someone wants to tell me how, I will do it. If not, just let me know and I will send it to you.[/quote']

Wow could you send it to me also? Please and thank you! B8bygurl22@gmail.com

  3. I have PCOS as well. I'm 3 months out and i've lost 56 lbs. I have noticed a small decrease in the hair growth and I actually started my period this week! (on my own - no meds - for the first time in 6 years!)

Most women aren't excited about starting' date=' but as you ladies well know, it doesn't just happen for us. I just want to be normal! VSG was the best thing I've EVER done for myself![/quote']

    Sweet!

  4. Hello Everyone,

After 7 months of participating on this wonderful site and being able to interact with all the amazing, inspirational and beautiful people on here, I am so proud to finally be able to say I HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR SURGERY (can you tell I'm excited? lol). After all the appointments, support groups and seminars I have attended it feels so good to finally be able to have the approval. So to everyone out there who is just getting started in the process or are in the middle of the process and things are getting a little rough, I am a living testimony that APPROVAL is possible and YOU CAN DO THIS, you deserve to have the things you want in life. I just called my insurance today (United Healthcare) to see if they had received my authorization claim and the rep on the phone told me it was already approved! I was in complete shock, she actually said I have been approved since Friday January 11th (that is when the surgeon's office submitted my info, so I was approved in ONE DAY!). My surgery date is February 4th at Alta Bates Summit Medical in Oakland, CA. I feel so blessed. To get what I never had (optimal health), I have done what I never did (not give up) and all the phone calls and pestering my doctors was worth it!:)

    CONGRATS!!!!
