  1. I read so we here that you aren't supposed to take whole pills unless its a capsule for 30 days but then I see people all the time saying they always took whole pills. I really want to start taking Prilosec cos I have so much heartburn but idk whether to crush it up or just swallow it?
  2. Dry heaving, diarrhea, heart burn, rib pain for days, sneezing and coughing due to cold... There is lots of so called "ugly" but its still all worth it in the end and I'm still no where near the end. Good luck to you.
  3. YOU CAN DO THIS!!! All of us newbies are struggling in our own way. Depend on God's strength to get you through. It will get better. Give it a couple more weeks, I know the time is going by slow right now but that will change too.
  4. I don't think I know how to calculate my post op time. How is it 3 weeks??
  5. Lol I knew you'd be the one to make a joke thanks for your opinion
  6. Okay if someone tells me to ask my dr I'm gonna be annoyed because I know but I always ask here first. So far my new stomach can handle everything I've tried. I do realize fluids are a lot different then puréed foods but I just thought I'd ask. I'm starving. I drink my fluid and then get hungry like 15-20 min later. If I can handle puréed food, will it hurt my sleeve? I'll be 2 weeks tomorrow.
  7. Can you take a PPI right after surgery if its not liquid?
  8. I feel like I'm kind of in the same boat. About 5 days out I started getting this pain on the left side near my top incision. It hurts to bend, sit, pee, roll... It just hurts. It hurts when I eat certain stuff and it hurts to the touch. I'm a stay at home mom with no family around so I do have to lift my 16 month old daughter. I do it minimally (just to put her in and out of her crib) but she is 23 pounds. I don't have health insurance so I don't want to go to the ER unless its Necessary but I don't know if it is or if I'm psyching myself out.
  9. Bypass is scarier cos they have to re route your intestines :/ it is scary but you have to ask yourself if the low percent risk of a leak is worth it. To me it was because obesity causes a lot more problems and risks then maybe a leak. Hang in there and make the best choice for you. Everyone is different
  10. Well that's really good. I thought that the symptoms aren't shown right away though so can't you have a leak and not know for a while? Why do people even get leaks? I know you can get them from eating too early but is that the only way?
  11. Man after surgery I have something new to talk about everyday lol. Seriously though I am way too prissy for diarrhea all the time. I get the urge and I just wanna cry cos I'm so grossed out by my body right now. Gas was disturbing enough and now diarrhea?? How do people ever feel sexy after surgery if they are constantly blowing ass and pooping brown water... Not cool folks.
  12. Totally jealous... I've lost 5 pounds since surgery 8 days ago
