  1. Well Dr. Luna said that in most cases people that end up with leaks, get them between 2-4 weeks and the risk lessens everyday so that was a relief to hear
  2. I guess ill wait to weigh for 3 more days then and count that as my first weigh in. No I didn't take measurements before but i can always start measuring now. Do you measure just your waist? I want to keep a journal and be very thorough but I don't want to measure like every part of my body.
  3. Wow 6 years seems pretty far out. I'm gonna be in fear forever lol. I did just email the dr who assisted my surgery so I will let you know what he says.
  4. I've been reading some posts about leaks and needless to say, the thought scares the heck out of me. I was self pay in Mexico and I don't have health insurance (don't judge) so I've tried o research the best I can on my own. I've heard people say your body is healed at 6 weeks but does that also mean your staple line is healed then? I want to make sure to be very cautious until I'm in the clear. I almost don't want to eat any solid food at all until I know I'm safe cos it scares me. I'm one of those lucky ones that so far can tolerate anything and although I've stuck to my post op diet, it still frightens me because sipping annoys me since I feel like I don't need to sip. Can taking normal drinks instead of sips cause a leak?? I know none of you are doctors but I still like to read all the input I can get. I am able to contact everyone in Mexico that was part of my surgery and I plan to do so but I just wanted to hear from you guys a little too. Thanks
  5. When should I weigh then cos i don't have have post op appointments. Once a week??
  6. I'm even more frustrated. My surgery was last Monday and I've only lost 2 pounds from surgery weight. I thought for sure I'd lose like 6 the first week at least. I'm really discouraged right now. I haven't even been drinking a full 400 calories. I hope this isn't a sign of failure already. I'm definitely not an optimistic person so this is really a freakin drag.
  7. Wow ladies, I'm sorry we are all going through a tough time. Hopefully in a couple weeks this will all be distant memory. I'm feeling a little better today just annoyed cos I want food. I'm so over liquid. Lets stay in contact.. I need support and I'm sure you all do too
  8. I don't know how to feel right now. I've only had gatorade and water the past 5 days. I tried chicken broth and jello... Yuck. I feel a little hungry (not head hunger) and it does subside with Gatorade but returns after a little while. I'm suppose to be on clear liquid till Tuesday but I just want something substantial like a protein shake or a yogurt. So far I don't have a problem drinking anything but I don't want to cause a leak by eating something. I don't really know what to do. I don't want to be hungry right now. On top of that, I haven't lost anything... I've gained 5 pounds. With?
  9. A lot of people think its easier than a c section. Just because it hasn't been for me doesn't mean it will be for you. You'll do great sweetie
