Yes, I had surgery on 12-11! :-)

In the beginning it will be really slow. I have always been a fast drinker and sometimes over do it but I have found a cup tht helps. They are called tervis tumblers or something and they have a lid that doesn't really allow for more than a sip and there is a slide close/open on it. I take this cup everywhere and it really helps. I got sick of looking silly with my son's go diego go cups! lol

I am 7 weeks today and down 50 lbs, I can't tell you exactly what my 30 day was.

It's kind of funny that you posted this because I was just talking about it the other day. It is extremely frustrating to see this bmi scale and what it does to people. My sister started eating healthy and exercising and lost about 110 pounds. She exercises every single day, she is a runner and still eats healthy but she weighs about 210 which puts her bmi greater than 30 and of course means she has to go to weight watchers for insurance. It's ridiculous, she is healthier than some of her 120 lb friends but she still suffers because of the label of >30 bmi.

Ok, hope I'm not stepping on any toes...like I said this is NOT my recipe....someone else posted it here...I just can't find it here now...here goes:
Protein balls
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 1/2 cups Protein Powder (I used chocolate)
1 cup Peanut Butter (I used crunchy Skippy)
Handful of dried fruit (I used cranberries)
Dash of SF Torani Syrup (to taste)
Splenda (I used 3 packets)
Mix the glob together with a little Water until you get a consistency to roll into balls. Roll into balls a little smaller than golf balls and freeze. Take them out and defrost when you plan to eat. They're good frozen and defrosted.
Yum!
These sound delicious, thank you!

Is that the first Monday of the month? My doc's office sends us to that one as well.

The surgeon at the hospital I work at actually stopped doing the band due to all of the complications.

I used a baby spoon during that phase...chicken might be a bit heavy yet.

To allow for a healthy pregnancy/birth.

I am back...again! :-)
1. I confess I have no interest in watching the inauguration, even though my husband is super disappointed in me.
2. I confess I have not been eating or drinking enough or getting my Protein in but I did today.
3. I confess that I have been watching the food network and enjoy it more than eating!
4. I confess that I am afraid that I won't make it to goal.
5. I confess that the cheeseburger thread really made me want one! Lol
6. I confess that nothing tastes as good as it looks and I am sometimes disappointed by how little I can eat.

I love the nsv posts...I officially retired my pre-surgery jeans and a few pairs of sweats even! My winter jacket is too big too. I'm also able to di stairs without huffing and puffing! :-)

My starting/surgery weight was 325, I was in a tight 28 pants and 4 to 5x tops. Surgery on 12-11-12 and I now weigh 281. Pants are 24's now and tops 3 to 4x. I don't have a set goal weight as of yet because I haven't been less than 200 as an adult but I am thinking 180 would be great!

I just finished The Cinderella Pact about 3 friends who vow to lose weight (each by a different means), it is told from one persons perspective though. Kind of romancy too. It wasn't too bad.

Congratulations! I cannot wait to fit into just an xl or large!

I think you just need to give it time...I had doubts it had truly worked too! I didn't truly feel restriction until I got to soft foods and then bam, there it was. 8 lbs is not bad for a week and a half...sometimes it take a while for those fluids from the hospital to come off. Don't be discouraged!
All of my December sleevers...
