  1. I am so with you! BS (mostly) I want both! I want to healthy and a size 4. I am only 5'3" so a size four would still leave me curvy. I will get rid of the extra skin when I hit 120 pounds lost. Then I will really be a size 4/2 LOL can't wait!
  2. My goal is to weigh between 135-145. I started at 257 in September of 2012. My surgery was 12/18/12 and my surgery weight was 245 I am now at 186. I have at least another 41 pounds to go. I hope to be at goal by my one year mark if not sooner. My short term goal is 175 by June 21st, first day of summer.
  3. 4 lbs in two days! Here we go again! Going back on liquids helped with starting up my loss and also has let my pouch shrink a bit. When I tried to eat a bit today I really felt the restriction. As of this morning 186 I want to hit 175 by June 21st. Wish me luck!
  4. back to liquids for a few days and broke my stall down four lbs. almost there! Not a bad # of lbs since 12/18
  5. Liquids worked to break my stall. Down four, 188 as of this morning! 13 to go to make my 175 goal by 6/21

  8. I had to resort to lotrimin (sp) but it worked. I have read that being itchy is a side effect from losing weight. Good Luck!
  9. I am not losing much anymore so today back to liquids with one meal of half a sandwhich. Let's see if this works for the next few days. Increased my liquids too. Fingers crossed!
  10. I was only out a week and it was xmas so not much. I shopped and wrapped. Slept a lot between walks.
  11. You got this! You will be great and you will get healthier everyday! You are going on a long trip and when you get to where you are going feel better and be able to do what ever you want including surf and dance and run on the beach. I was just able to start those thing with my kids. What a difference. Love that you have moved in this direction, love that you have started on a journey that is just for your health, love the fact that you can eat small perfect bites of food that will satisfy you. I have said it before but I will say it again, this has been amazing and you are going to love every minute of it!

  15. stinken stalls! two weeks now! grrrr
  16. something to read, do would be good - chap stick - gasx- slippers - phone charger - loose clothes - plus the normal stuff. I stayed two nights. First day was mostly sleeping and walking. Day two, walking sipping, day three walking sipping. Make sure your laundry is done at home, your room is ready for you to get in bed because bring in the hospital is not restful, they check your vitals, draw blood and generally wake u up all the time. you are going to be tired when you get home. Good Luck!
  17. one day at a time. We have issues with food. I for one am an addict! I eat/ate just because. At first it was to rebel against someone who said to stop eating so much or don't eat that it is not good for you. then I ate because I found comfort in food. It was the only thing I could control 100% then I ate because of depression then I ate because... and the list goes on. I am an addict. I am now struggleing to find a new addiction becasue I sitll want to eat. I love food. The smell, taste and the way it looks when it is prepared well. So this is me trying to find a new addiction...hiking, gardening, working to much, sex, shopping.... none have stuck. It gets dark or light and some activites have to stop. Working too many hours drives my kids crazy and I get too tired so I eat bad stuff. My next choice is going to be joining a gym becasue while I could shop I can't afford to keep doing it the way I spend and buying stuff means I end up with a house full of junk cuz clothes won't fit long. Well I will try the gym, you might want to find your new focus or addiction if you are like me and need a substitue. GOOD LUCK!
  18. Coconut water very high in potassium and easily absorbed. It has helped me keep my levels up and I don't have to take any supplements. Doesn't taste great but it is alright. I buy the pure one without anything added. I drink about 8 oz a day. Bought it at the local grocery store.
  19. Me too. I had surgery on 12/18 and I get the same pain on my left side. I thought it was the scars for a while (from the incisions, they are still sore). I just read all about the size of our stomachs. OMG they are small! I don't think I am eating very much but I have been stuck for a few weeks. I need to keep a more accurate log of what I eat.
  20. This should be a challenging week. I am on a business trip for a WASC (high school accreditation) visit and of course all of the food provided is carbs. Bread etc. My hotel room has a fridge but I don't have a way to carry my food with me so it is protein bars and shakes for a few days. Might kick start my scale again? Wish me luck. too bad I forgot my running shoes :{
  21. We are surgery twins. and almost the same weight loss. Not bad i must say!
  22. Been bouncing back and forth three pounds. Down today so I hope tomorrow I am still down. I gotta drink more water and keep moving! Wish me luck I want to lose another 15 lbs by May 31st! My Bday I'll be 41 and I can't wait. It is going to be the best year ever!
  23. I am about three and a half months out and my regualr breakfast is an toasted English Muffin with some cream cheese and a slice of ham. I never finish it but it is pretty good. I use the double fiber muffins and non fat cream cheese. Sometimes I just toast the muffin and ad a slice of american cheese. Sometimes I just have a cup of coffee with milk and call it breakfast.
  24. Call the doctor or hospital where you had surgery. Do you have any other symptoms? Don't wait at all to call or go in to see someone.
  25. Connected! It happened to me too. It also happens to me with other sweets it they are over the top. I am almost cured forever. I actually forgot I could not eat that stuff anymore and put a Peep in my mouth and remembered as soon as I closed my mouth. I had to run and spit it out where I couldn't be seen. Like I said almost cured. LOL
