  1. sounds like a lot but it really needs to be measured to tell. It looks like you are dong well with your weight loss. If you were not able to eat this much you might loose too much weight. Maybe the surgeon left you a larger size stomach. I am about 8 months out and I can eat about 3/4 of a lean cuisine. but not all of the mashed potatoes.
  2. I don't want to jinx myself but I think I broke my stall. SHHH! don't talk about it HW 257 SW 243 CW 182
  3. Take him in. It is nothing to mess around with. Trust your instinct. If it was to take him, do it. Good luck
  4. I almost walked out of the surgery prep ward. I was convinced I wasn't going to wake up. I freaked out. Then I thought about my kids and the fact that if I didn't do something I was going to put myself out of the picture early for sure. I had to think that this is a life saving surgery. May not be immediate but it adds years to your life. YEARS. I had to make a drastic move to save my life and to make the life I have the best it can be. I have lost 73 lbs since December. I have 41 to go. I know now that I will be around a lot longer than I would have been without the surgery. Yup second thoughts, scared out of my mind, and freaked out but it was the best decision I have ever made and I would do it again. and again.
  5. I cut about 6 inches off. I'm ok with it for now and if I weren't I would be out of luck because it doesn't grow fast anymore! Oh I wish my hair would stop falling out \

I just started getting to the gym four to five days a week for the past month. I have now worked up to walking (3.5-5.2 mph) a 5k a day. It is 3.1 miles and I do it on a steep incline so that I can burn more calories. I never thought I could get ready for a 5 k so fast but it is very doable. Good Luck
  7. I have one about the size of a dime and I had surgery in December. Has not gone away yet.
  8. I've been stuck for months! I am still down only 73 lbs. I have started going to the gym 4 days a week and I hope it will help me start up again. I can eat more now but I try not to. It is no where near what I used to be able to eat and I don't ever go over 1200 cal. a day and no one gets fat on that. I have to just keep going!
  9. I wanna live where you are! I want milk straight from the farmer. How do you keep up with this? Is it due to allergies? My little one is a vegetarian and it is very difficult for me to cook three different dinners daily but I eat 4 oz my daughter doesn't eat meat and my son is 16 and eat everything all the time. It sounds like you are able to juggle many different needs or preferences. What do you use to sweeten anything, besides cane sugar? I have tried agave and stevia but they don't taste very good. Sorry your post caught my interest so I have a ton of questions.
  10. The site shows that she logged in at 3:30 this morning. I hope that means she is ok and if so should post so that the people trying to help who are now worried about her can stop being so worried.
  11. you need to go to the hospital dark urine is not a good sign you need fluids don't mess around
  12. If you can get through one more week of liquids you will feel better when you do start to eat softs. I had to wait three weeks too and it was hard. At the fourth week I started with cream of wheat with cinnamon and sweetener, very soft scrambled eggs, very well chewed crackers (about 1/2 of one) and kept the other foods too. Since the sleeve is tiny you will feel full very fast so be careful. One extra bite and OMG the pain. Other soft foods were blended chili , no too spicy, blended soups (cream ones too) and apple sauce (that didn't go well for me) if you like I can send you the list that my NUT gave me or you can look it up on line..google gastric sleeve post diet. I found a bunch of resources. Good Luck and hang in there it gets better very quickly.
  13. Tomorrow is my 6 month date. I am still stalled but it is ok, I know I will get there. Only 41 lbs to go. I have a goal to have lost 120 lbs by my one year mark. I will make it and as of today I am officially a size 12 from a size 22. Bad news is that my FEET shrunk! Nobody said this was going to happen. I loved my shoes and now they don't fit. I know I can buy others but you know how it is
  14. I have been stalled for a while but still all good. I was sleeved on 12/18 and am down about 71 lbs! about 40 lbs to go.
  15. Hi e have almost the exact stats! You look fantastic! How tall are you because at 191 you look really slim! I am 5'3 and now 186 and don't look nearly as slim! I may be a lot older too 41 but I am still working on it! I have about 45 lbs left till goal. I was sleeved on 12/18/12
  16. Thanks for the 5 day reset! I am still stalled. Joined the gym and start on Monday. I am happy that school is out now I can concentrate on my weight loss. No more 16 hour days for a few months so I can get to the gym. My goal is 175 by July 4th. That would be about 10 lbs. I can do this. And BTW everyone is doing great. I have to remember that on Dec. 18th I weighted in at 245. I am now at 186. That is amazing. I saw my pictures in the year book from the beginning of the year. Now I can see it. Good luck on Summer time all! GO DECEMBER SLEEVERS!
  17. Hi and congrats! I had surgery on 12/18/12 and so far so good. I feel guilty sometimes because I have had a pretty easy time of it besides the stalls. I have not lost as much as some but more than others. I have not had to vomit once since leaving the hospital. I did vomit each time they gave me pain meds so I stopped taking it. I have had days when I eat too much and make myself hurt but not too often. I have lost a lot of hair but am lucky that I started with so much. I cut may hair to shoulder length so that it would stay fluffy. I think that the hair loss is slowing down now. My weight loss started out pretty steady and then stalled during week three. I found out that was pretty normal. After that I started to see a pattern. I would lose for a week or two then gain two pounds then lose again. So far the pattern has stuck. I have had a few longer stalls but then I go back to liquids until it starts again. I have not started to exercise yet but am looking for a gym to join in the next week or so. I am finally ready to get in the gym. I have a hard time with vitamins. I am trying to figure out how to make them routine and see if that helps but so far I am hit and miss. My biggest goal is to get a grip on why I love to eat. I am also looking for a therapist or behaviorist to help me with that. I hope this helps. It might just be me rambling. If you have specific questions I would be happy to help. Good Luck!
  18. Just sip sip sip. Don't worry about protein yet. I would stick with water, Gatorade ,propel or something light like that. Maybe some broth. You are going to be sore from vomiting and surgery. I still get sore and I am almost 6months post surgery. Be strong but careful. Good Luck!
  19. You should be fine. The most important thing about pre op diet is to lose weight to shrink you liver. The second most important is to stick with your last two days before surgery. That, if you are like me, is when u have to do a colon cleanse. Had I not done that right they would have canceled my surgery. Good Luck!
  20. another stall. Ok it will pass right? my new goal is 175 by July 4th.
  21. have a very small piece. I had a little issue with is because of the sugar I think. But after a few bites it was ok.
  22. Woohoo you broke the stall! Great job!
  23. I am stuck! I have been at this weight for what I feel like is a long time. Maybe it is not that long. Lots of emotional issues. Gotta refocus, gotta not let others affect my moods or get under my skin. Send good vibes please! Need a push in the right direction again.
