We are all here to share our opinions and you know what they say abut opinions. Bottom line is do what works for YOU and YOUR life. You shouldn't feel pressured to give anyone and explanation about your life. There is a negative stigma with WLS and I'm sure none of us woke up and said let me get my stomach chopped up. We thought long and hard about it and who wants the negativity. You will find more negative comments that supportive ones out there because everyone is not educated about WLS. At the end of the day do what makes you happy and comfortable.

I told my coworkers who are ALL in healthcare that I had a hernia repair that why I was out of work and as to why I'm Loosing weight I am song portion control and exercise which is ALL true. If your not comfortable sharing your WLS then don't its no ones business but yours and your not at work for to tell your personal business anyway.

My scrubs are loose and my wedding ring is getting looser also!

My decision went peer to peer ( my doctor had to talk to the medical director of my insurance) used constant vomiting as my reason. Got approved sleeved 04/04/13

Well be strong she will still love you in the end and that's all that matters. Sending prayers up for you and a speedy recovering and prayers your mom will be more understanding and supportive.

My mom is the same way but I had to educate her and let her know my decision was for me and my health and I loved her but she had to respect my decisions.

My doctor requires 2 weeks full liquids then 2 weeks soft foods then back on regular or solids

So I'm one week into my full liquid phase and I'm so done already. Have never looked so forward to soft foods!!!!!! I'm pushing on though and I'll make it

I'm 6 days post op and my pain is minimal. Some discomfort every now and then but no "real"pain. I have liquid Lortab for pain medicine and I've taken it 1 time since I've been home. Good luck

I had my band removed and was sleeved all in the same day. My fluid was removed 1 month prior to my surgery.

So I'm 6 days post op and I'm on full liquid. I'm not eating a lot my main focus is staying hydrated. I learned the hard way that anesthesia plus morphine equals nausea city for me so that extended my hospital stay from over night to 4 days. I'm not hungry at all. Having all these different feelings in my new belly and not sure what they are but I'm sure non of then is hunger yet. Like I said main focus right now is hydration because I would hate to end up back in the hospital. Let me know where some of you were 6 days out and what you were doing

Hey all, it's 4/5/13 and I'm finally sleeved. Having a lot of nausea idk if its the anesthesia or my new belly.

4/4/13 On my way to the hospital for surgery. Very excited and ready to begin my new sleeved journey.

Revision from band to vsg schedule for tomorrow 4/4/13 at 9:30am. Excited, nervous, happy, scared and a bunch of other emotions I'm feeling. Keep me in your thoughts guys. I will let you all know how it goes.

OOOOOOMMMMMMGGGGG!!!!! This is harder than I remember. I am a band to sleeve revision and I don't remember the liquid diet being this hard. I've been doing broth soups, protein shakes, SF Popsicles. I'm making it but its difficult. I'm doing what must be done but I so needed to vent. It's Easter Sunday and all this food is around me. Help me sweet baby Jesus!

Hey y'all!!!! So I purchased some cook books and lots of them call to replace sugar with sugar substitute. So Houston we have a problem! I don't like ANY sugar substitute I've tried and I've read a study that sugar substitutes make you hungry and are potentially a link to some cancers. Any one still use regular sugar if not what are some alternatives you do use?

I'm April too! 4/4/13 to be exact. Started my liquid diet today 3/38 and I ordered protein from Unjury. It's been rough but it's all gonna be worth it! Happy for all the April sleevers! Keep me protest on your progress poohressa@gmail.com
