January sleevers......what's your weight loss so far?
My goals are 90 grams of protein, 80 ounces of water and 1100 calories a day. Going to the gym five days a week also helps.

I had a piece of bread dunked in stew and it was ok, but I took really small bites. Haven't had salad yet.

January 2013 Sleevers?
Take dime sized bites and chew the daylights out of each bite. It takes some serious conscious effort to override a lifetime of eating habits.

When Did You Begin Taking Vitamins Post-Op?
I started on Bariatric Advantage chewable vitamins the day I got home from the hospital. Is having your abdomen cut open in multiple places desirable? A lot of what we have to go through pre and post op isn't desirable, but they're things we have to suck up and deal with. Having to add vitamin crystals to your protein drinks for a few days will be the least of your worries, so I wouldn't waste time obsessing over it. It'll be over and done with before you know it and then you can complain about how bad the chewables taste

Costco/Trader Joe Shopping list
What's the sodium per serving on those? I love jerky but the sodium in them is a killer so I save it for a rare treat. Lots of great ideas in this thread, thanks everyone!

Drink or eat before workout?
Carbs before, Protein after is the general rule. Carbs trigger an increase in insulin production which allows glucose to get into your cells for energy. they also replenish glycogen stores for muscle energy while you're working out. Protein helps repair cells and create new ones after the workout is done.

Boobs?
When the boobie fairy made her rounds she skipped my house so I've never had much in that department and they're certainly not looking better as I lose weight. There will definitely be some surgical intervention in that area once I'm in goal weight territory.

My friend keeps calling me a "Cheater"
Some people need to be kicked to the curb. This woman and her daughter sound like those kind of people.

What to tell work people
I told my boss, but only because we're friends. It isn't anyone else's business.
-
Any regrets?
My only regret is the classic one; I regret not doing it sooner.
-
Pain above my left shoulder? Day 7
It has nothing to do with the anesthesia. It's from the CO2 they use to inflate the surgical field. Some CO2 gets trapped and left behind after surgery and it irritates the phrenic nerve which starts in the neck and ends in the diaphragm.

Premeire Protein Drinks from Costco - BEST EVER
I put a lot of value on not gagging and wretching. If you look at it that way, the price isn't an issue

How many of you recent sleevers are hungry?
