  1. Bariatric Advantage has chewable calcium citrate in raspberry, caramel, chocolate and lemon and they're sugar-free to boot.

    Not hungry

Same here. A month out and still no real hunger. It feels strange to have to "force" yourself to eat when you're not really hungry.
  3. I started just about where you were and less than a month after my sleevification I've broken into the 300's already. I think that's pretty awesome
  4. At my 3 week post-surgery follow-up we were given the ok to progress to soft foods and they gave us cards that said the following: "The individual bearing this card has had special surgery for the reduction of the size of their stomach. Please allow the bearer to order a small portion at a reduced price or order from the child's menu. Thank you for your consideration."

    Lipton Cup o Soup

And like most of those "cup o' whatever" soups, a ton of potassium. Skip it for something healthier.
  6. Chill. You're not the only person either office is dealing with and calling multiple times a day is not going to make them want to help you any faster than they already are.
  7. No, they can't. http://www.surgicalr...oembs/overview/
  8. I haven't had any cravings yet or really any hunger even. It's kind of wierd.
  9. Who says you can't use outside tickers?

    CHIRRRACHA

Best stuff ever. I should have had this hanging from my IV stand during recovery:
  11. I don't know how normal it is. I didn't have any nausea or vomiting after surgery. If you're vomiting every couple of hours, you should be calling them ASAP.

    PROTEIN!

I couldn't tolerate any of the whey based protien powders but my nutritionist told me about Premier Protein shakes and I lived on those. The chocolate tastes just like chocolate milk. You can get them at Costco/Sams Club/WalMart.
  13. Nothing happens to them. The staples stay there forever.
  14. With her being a nurse, I hope you got your flu shot this year. If so, get out and walk. You'll reduce the chance of thrombosis, get that CO2 working out of your system and just feel better overall.
  15. I think I was told half a dozen times before I left the hospital to not weigh myself the first week. With the IV and the swelling it's going to take a few days for your body to get back to "normal" so there's no point getting down over your weight increase during that time. After a week or so you should be good to go and on the "losing" team.
  16. Both are pretty common. My surgeon doesn't use drains unless he's performing the RNY and many docs do the leak test while you're still on the table and forego the standing contrast test. Double win for us
  17. I've been stapled, sutured and glued at different points of my life and they all feel about the same. Besides, you have sutures under your glue anyway
  18. She said she was seeing the doc on the 6th.

    Gym, first time, tomorrow

Good for you! I'm starting back at the gym this weekend too and I'm looking forward to getting some of my cardio back.
  20. Finally got the ok to go back to the gym (no heavy lifting yet) and move on to soft foods today. I had a scrambled egg and a little applesauce. It was wonderful! Went down with no difficulty and didn't feel any tightness or nausea.
  21. Slow down there chicken Little, the sky isn't falling just yet. No one really knows what happened here yet and it's WAY too soon to start blacklisting surgeons before the whole story is brought to light. The OP didn't have her surgery in TJ so this tale of woe shouldn't cause you any additional surgeon angst.
  22. When I had my endoscopy I was told I had a hiatal hernia, but once they cut me open they said there wasn't one so I got lucky.
  23. One more day before the super exclusive Class of January 2013 closes it's books forever. Good luck to whoever is having surgery tomorrow!
