Veteran sleevers...HELP. 6 weeks out, nausea starting again?
I had terrible nausea the first 2 months. I could only drink water if I put lemon and/or ginger in it. I also discovered on Amazon these wonderful ginger drops called Tummy Drops. They saved me! It finally went away. I hope all is well with you and you feel better soon.

Does insurance paid for revision?
It took me over a year to get insurance to approve revision. Initially they approved removing the band, but not revision. It took a year of regular visits to the surgeon to check in and show no weight loss. We resubmitted the paperwork and the insurance approved in 2 days! Just don't give up. Best wishes to you.

What do I say to get insurance to cover revision when band hasn't slipped?
I had my band for 4 years and while I didn't have complications, it sure didn't work. I went to a different surgeon and he wanted me to work with the band for a while because it wasn't anywhere near full. I asked that we please try to get insurance approval to revise and was initially denied. My surgeon and I decided to keep documenting my work with the band for at least a year. He said if we didn't give it at least a year then they would turn me down again. In that time I developed acid reflux and high blood pressure. The surgeon submitted the letter for approval and I got the approval two days later. It took a lot of time and patience but it finally paid off. I wish you the best in your journey from band to sleeve.

in need of new shoes
I just invested in Brooks Adrenaline and after one workout I could feel huge difference. They're worth every penny. I overpronate and have bad knees and the support and cushion in these are wonderful.

stomach virus!
Hope you're feeling better. I had it a couple weeks ago and got so dehydrated I went to urgent care and got IV fluids. Talk about miserable. I feel your pain.

dumping syndrome?
I had no idea this happened either. I researched it after first episode and learned it does happen. Since our stomachs are so small if we eat certain things, especially sugar for me, it dumps into small intestine too fast causing chain reaction.

Fiber ~ need ideas
I pulled out the info the nutritionist gave me and it says according to USDA an Asian pear is 10 g. Not sure about the size variance. Prunes and lentils are other good ideas.

I can't even begin to express how much better this experience is than the band. Whole different world. I highly recommend it.

Fiber ~ need ideas
My nutritionist just told me Asian Pears have something like 10 g of fiber. That is a ton for a piece of fruit. i know it's carbs but it's natural.

how to get my protein?
I don't have any information beyond what others have told you. They are great ideas. I just wanted to tell you I promise it gets better! I'm 6 weeks out and last week something clicked and I could drink more and get my protein in. Just keep telling yourself this is temporary and will get better. Hang in there!

Revision questions for those who can relate!
I see a dietician outside of my surgeon's office and it's been a huge help. I couldn't function on 600-800 calories and my dietician said my body needs at least 1,000. I'm aiming for 1,200. I feel much better. Dietician doesn't even want me to do vigorous exercise until I'm averaging 1,200. I lose more when I eat that much. It has helped me break through several stalls. I hope that you start feeling better soon.

I'm on Adderall and I haven't noticed a change in its effects yet. I'm 6 weeks out and down 35 lbs. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I hope your prescribing doctor can help you with this issue.

Did anyone stall out at around 3 weeks post op?
I had to increase my calories to at least 1,000 and after a few days of that, I started losing again.
