That's incredible may I ask are exercising and what are you eating?Exercise: I work at a ranch and walk around 5 miles a day 2 to 3 times a week as well as working on toning exercises when I'm off.
Diet: I eat between 800 and 1000 calories a day. Protein, Protein, protein! And I'm sure to eat a large variety of fresh fruits and vegetables on a daily basis.

WOO HOO!!! What was your starting weight and height? We are all anonymous friends here. Otherwise' date=' I wouldn't be so open to share this info. It's a part of our "group therapy."[/quote']I'm 5'4" and my starting weight was 291

Went in for my 3 month appointment with my surgeon and he told me that he had NEVER had a patient loose as much weight as I have in 3 months! I am just beside myself right now, who would have thought that I'd ever be good at loosing weight?? This surgery was most definitely the best decision I have ever made!(:

Dr. Worley at Methodist Willowbrook in Houston! Amazing surgeon/person!! 2 weeks out and down 37 pounds!

Do you have thyroid issues? High pulse is one of the side issues. Mine ranges 90-120 on a normal day.Nope, no thyroid issues. I'm a perfectly healthy 19 year old, I do have factor iv but I don't have a bloodclot.
-
Sounds like u r dehydrated. Dehydration can cause an elevated heart rate. This something that can easily happen after surgery.Maybe, but I've been getting plenty of fluids everyday.
-
My pulse was recorded at 100 this last Tuesday' date=' but probably because I have been battling one heck of a flu this week. Typically, my resting heart rate is between 50 and 60 so 100 really surprised me.[/quote']This is alarming to me because when I was monitored in the hospital, my heart rate was in the 70 to 80 range. Even when I was in pain!

Has your surgeon done a leak test?Yes, I had a leak test the day after surgery.
-
My surgeon was the one who caught it on Tuesday when it went from 120 to 140. But other than this, everything looks great. No pain, no fever, nothing! Even he is baffled, I had an EKG Tuesday that was normal except my heart rate.

Dr. Worley at Methodist Willowbrook is absolutely AMAZING!! I can't say anything bad about him, and awesome bedside manner and very thorough! He leaves no stone unturned!

Anyone else experience a fast heart rate (100 and up) after surgery? I'm close to two weeks out.

What happened to your sister was awful, and for a leak to go unnoticed for that long is rare. But it's a risk you concentrate to when you sign all of the paperwork. Also, your sisters story reiterates the fact that you don't just jump into this blind. It's VERY important to find a surgeon who you trust and who you know will listen to you. I'm 3 days post op with the worlds best surgeon and I'm not worried a bit that something like that will ever go unnoticed.
-
Well, I'm officially 3 days post op today! Yay! When I first woke up, I just knew that volunteering to ave someone cut out 80% of my stomach was a mistake. But today I have a totally different mindset today! I'm ready to start my new life and get on track!(:

Thank you all, I'll be sure to let y'all know how everything goes as soon as I can! (:

Bring a small pillow - I am 8 days post op and still sleep w mine.Thank you, I'll have o find me one!(:

I'll be sleeved tomorrow at 11am and I couldn't be more nervous! I'm not scared to the surgery itself, I'm scared of what I'm going to feel like when I wake up. ): I certainly don't regret my decision, nor am I having second thoughts! I'm just scared of the unknown!

My surgery is scheduled for the 15 as well! I remember thinking it was so far away and it's hard to believe that it's only 3 days away!!!
I know!! It still hasn't quite sunk in yet, but all I know is that I can't wait!

I have not had any stalls just some fluctuation in the amount of weight I loose from week to week. As far as exercise goes, I have a job that allows me plenty of exercise on a daily basis.
