When I lose weight the first thing I want to do is get a breast reduction! Maybe look at that option?

Oh no I hope you feel better! This is exactly what I'm worried about. I have a weak stomach as it is! Can't imagine it after surgery...

Did anyone go into shock ever on the pre op diet? My body did once on another Protein Shake diet I did. I was so sick and shaking.

This is what I am terrified of! I have to go back to work two weeks after surgery. I hope I don't fall asleep at my desk!

I'm going to have to double dose on my anxiety meds when it gets close to my surgery date. So scared!

Yeah I went to outback and had their cheese fries one last time. I'm just working out everyday so I don't gain weight.

Did the lap band not work? I know another person who got the band removed and did sleeve.

My surgery date is January 8, 2014! It's been a long process of 11 months of trying to get approved. Anybody else having the surgery in January? I am terrified of the two weeks of a liquid diet before surgery. I can't get my mind around not eating anything but liquids after surgery too for awhile. If I do that now, I get very sick!

My insurance requires you to be morbidly obese for 5 years before they will approve you for surgery. I am 5'4 and 246 pounds. 5 years ago I was 216 pounds. I do not meet the requirement. They also said I need to follow a supervised diet for 6 consecutive months before my claim can be submitted. My doctor does not think I will be approved but I still am going to keep pushing. I can't live 5 more years like this!

I am still debating the surgery... I went in wanting to do the lap band, however after learning about the sleeve I think it might be more beneficial for me. My BMI is 41 and I do not have any major health concerns, so I am hoping I don't get denied. Eeeek!

I haven't had my surgery yet. However, the straw that broke the camels back for me was having a hard time fastening the seat belt in an airplane.

Anyone smoke weed before or after surgery?

Yes my hospital does drug and alcohol tests and takes careful inventory of all drugs in their supply. Weed is illegal for a reason. I just don't like my nurses disobeying the law. If they can't be trusted in the workplace, I would not trust them with my health.
