  7. Hi, everyone today has been a tough day for me, I feel as if I was a few weeks or months pregnant smells in the air bother me so much and I have such bad nausea. I can't keep Down the whey Protein the smell really, really bothers me. Since it is my second week I started drinking some Atkins shakes which I have to take very slowly and according to what the doctor wants me to consume I would have to take four of these containers and so far and it's 7:40 pm at night and I haven't finished one. Ginny
  8. Everyone looked at me like what are you doing here, but there was much more going on physically and mentally. I may not be as big as a lot of people who get this surgery but I am definitely obese. I hope to get rid of so many ailments, medications, depression and over all feel better about myself. Ginny
  9. I was sleeved on December 5, 2012 and I was weighing 202 pounds on the day of surgery. I had to go through a six-month weight loss program which I started at 227pounds In order to be approved By insurance. I would like to know if there's anyone else out there that started at this lower weight? It is sometimes difficult to compare yourself to people who started at a higher weight it seems like everything is slower. Ginny
  10. I live near raleigh and just got sleeved the fifth, wow a week ago today. How is everything going?
  11. If only everyone had your sons mentality. Lol! I am the biggest one in the family that my kids see and they all eat more than me :-(. To my youngest son I am medium. The day I came home he hugs me and says " mom you feel lighter" lol! I had only lost 5 lbs. Ginny
  12. I too hope I do well, I was sleeved December 5 two days before my birthday which I wanted to celebrate the hell out of because it was my 35th, we have the holidays and I am a very big drinker. Love the wine. I told my children if anyone asks I do not want clothes or alcohol I want gift cards to use later on in spring, maybe. Good luck!
  13. My thoughts are with you, everything happens for a reason take it one step at a time. You mentioned that all the cancer is gone and the chemo is basically so the chances of it coming back are cut in half. I would definately have the chemo first from what I have seen people tend to gain weight during their treatments and it has nothing to do with how they eat. If you have wls then your chemo, you may feel dissapointed that you do not lose weight and you would have done it for nothing. Take all you have learned about how to eat & how much to eat and start losing without the surgery, then once you have gone through all your therapies you will be in a stronger place to succeed with the wls. I wish you the best of luck.
  14. Dec 7th is my birthday too! I just got sleeved on the 5th.
  15. I just turned 35 on December 7 I had my sleeve on December 5 my husband was really unsupportive but we have to do what we can to feel better about ourselves And become healthier people for our families. If your insurance is approving you and you can do it,do it if your husband Doesn't want to miss work he will find a ride. Sometimes we just have to do what we can and work with what we got. When you have lost all the weight you will not regret it.
  16. Was sleeved Dec 5th 2012. I am feeling a lot better today hope it just gets better from here on.
