    Overweight - what has been working wonderful for me is basically high Protein, low carb and Water Water water! (with the occasional treat!)
    Are you pre or post surgery? The resounding theme for post surgery patients is focus on getting Protein in first, then veggies, then starch/carbs if there's room for it and drinking lots of water. The suggested amount of water varies from Dr to Dr. Everyone's body is different and will react differently - you will see this a lot on the boards - many slow losers and many fast losers even if they are following the exact same plan! One thing's certain, if you follow your Dr's guidelines you will be successful! Best of luck with your journey!

    I was sleeved march 25th. I know how you feel. Nervous or scared of the unknown. I will be done and over before you know it. Just try and walk when you can. If you have any stomach cramping just take deep breathes to help you through it. You'll do great! Good luck

    Sleeved on Election Day (Nov. 6th). 322 before per-op diet, 313 on day of surgery, and 258 as of yesterday. 64 lbs total and damn proud! This is the best I've felt in many, many years. Granted, it's been a tough journey. I describe the experience to my friends one sentence; The most strict diet I've ever been on combined with a major surgery that kicked my a**! But as most would agree, I'd do it all in a minute. Things I can do now that I couldn't a couple months ago:
    Fit in a seat on an air plane without having to use a seat belt extension.
    Fit in a booth at a restaurant.
    Sex....ohhhhh boy. I'll save it for the man room.
    Sit up from a laying position without looking like a turtle on its shell.
    Tie my shoes while they're still on my feet.
    Look at myself in the mirror (still not all that pretty to look at, but getting better!)
    Pass a Wendy's without ordering 2 spicy chicken combos.
    Find clothes that fit me at places like Kohles and Target.
    Walk for quite a distance without getting those sores on my inner thighs (they're gone completely!).
    sleep without my C-pap machine.
    Give someone a good hug.
    Smile when I think of my future!
    Life is good!

    Give yourself a Cheat day. You worked so hard to get where you are at. Take it one day at a time.

    I had my sleeve 11-28 my Doctor had me on puree on the 3rd day. Why is it every Dr different? LOL Hang in there you have come this far.
